Challenges
Summary: 1999 P3X595 Challenge. In the episode "Emancipation", Sam has just been 'saved' by her fellow team members. She says she's "never been more happy to see them". Jack then pipes up and says that she has been that happy before, and starts saying (I'm paraphrasing here) ".. that time on P3X595, when you drank that stuff that made you take off.." Sam promptly cuts him off.
The challenge I put out is for fic writers to come up with what * did * happen on P3X595. The only 'constraints' to be put on the story is that at some point Sam has to drink something that causes her to try to (or successfully ;) take something off, whether it's something of her own or not doesn't matter.

Summary: 2000 P3X595 Take Two Challenge.
There has been much debate about what happened on P3X595.
Well the canon has just thrown another piece of information that could form a great story to bring the actions up to Season 3. In Shades of Grey... Jack's first mission with the rogue groups was to the Asguard protected planet of P3X595 and they show some details of them having to subdue them to get the technology.
My challenge is to use both this information and what was said in Emancipation to have Jack remember what had happened and reflect upon his actions in Shades of Grey.

Summary: 2000 Passion Poem Challenge.
Use the below poem and make it into a SJ story.

Summary: 2000 Past Challenge.
Write a story with SJ romance (OF COURSE); Daniel whumping, but not a lot; and where SG goes through a quantum mirror, and Sam and Jack find a surprise from the past there.

Someone write a fic involving Jack and Pepper Spray. That's all I ask. Humourous would be nice. Bonus points if it is Sam's Pepper Spray. Oh and SJR of course ;)

Summary: 2004 Pete Challenge. do you think Jacob knows about Pete? I wonder how Jacob would react to him. This is a longshot but if the tok'ra were the ones who got the snake out of Sarah, I imagine they wanted to know how they caught Osiris. Of course, that doesn't mean that the stake out fiasco was mentioned so... There seems to be some kind of leap in time between the events of Heroes and Inauguration (isn't that supposed to be next year?) so there's plenty of time for Jacob to meet the Pitness himself. There are hundreds of fics out there in which "Jacob finds out" about Sam and Jack. Could someone write one about Jake's reaction to Pete? And no, he doesn't have to threaten/zat/torture/permanently damage him in any way. He doesn't even have to hate him...

Summary: 2000 Pick-A-Challenge Challenge.
Pick one (or more) of the following and run wild...
1. Jack finds something personal of Sam's (ie. hygene product, photo, etc.), that has either falling out of her pack or Jack is rummaging through it for some reason, offworld.
2. Offworld, creepy crawly in Sam's tent/sleeping bag. A bit of screaming, worried team mates, and possibly lack of Sam's clothing, (like she's halfway through changing), just to add some romance.
3. The team gets captured, and the aliens have a device that can make them delusional. Sam thinks she is watching Jack die, as the others look on.
4. Sam is injured on a mission, and tries to hide it, as it is in an awkward place (my suggestion near her breasts, or her breasts). But Jack of course notices after awhile.

Summary: 2001 Pie Challenge.
Write a story that includes:
* Someone on SG obssesed with saying "I want Pie" for no particular reason. EX: SG is watching a movie, all of a sudden Sam says "I want pie."
* Someone obssessed with saying "Spoon" for no reason. (This can be someone passing by)
* General Hammond saying "Maybe one day I'll understand the whole pie thing."
* Sam calling a Cathloic priest a hottie. (Or something to the like.)
* Sam and Jack getting together by the end.
* Someone on SG obssessed with immitating Apu from the Simpsons. Bonus points if it's Teal'c. (Arabian voice phrases like 'thank you come again' and 'soup is in aisle 4')
* Jack saying to Daniel "Semper ubi sub ubi" (Always wear underwear in Latin)

Summary: 2001 Pondering Challenge.
Write a S/J story (duh) including these ponderings...

What happens when Sam walks through the Stargate after Ascension and meets up with Jack?

Summary: 2001 Post-Kiss Challenge. WoO and I realized that, after the scene with Jack and Sam kissing, when Sam asked what he's staring at, they're in the briefing where Daniel explains about the planet and the device, etc. So, obviously time has passed enough that they're out of the commissary, Jack and Teal'c have explained about the looping, and have told Daniel what's on the altar. So the challenge is:
- To base it on the kissing scene or make up your own scene, your choice.
- To explain Jack's initial reaction when they're back in the commissary after time resets.
- Teal'c finding out what happened in the last loop.
- At least a couple hours between the time it resets and the time of the briefing, naturally.

Summary: 2001 Post-Light Challenge.
I noticed after Jack grabs Sam and tells her she's in withdrawal she immediately goes "oh * I'M * in withdrawal" with emphasis on the 'I'm' as if to say * you're * the one. Now I'm the first to admit I'm an over- projector but did anyone else get the feeling she's not talking about the drug in the palace? (now hang in with me here) It seemed to me that she was still on their earlier subject, as if she had expected him to say something about her professionalism and she was prepared to fling the accusition back at HIM. The fact that he talked about withdrawal just made her quick answer about that too.
I want to add a challenge:
Someone write a story based on after they get home from whatever planet the Light was on. Include a mention of what they did during those three weeks and at some point have Sam seeking out Jack to apologise or maybe explain to him about what she said on the beach.

Summary: 2000 POV Asgard Challenge. I've seen the SG1 episode 'Point Of View', and watching the end where the Asgard brought Hammond back to life gave me an idea for a challenge. So it goes like this -
1. Doctor Samantha Carter(AU!Sam from 'Point Of View') asks the Asgard to bring Jack back to life for her but realises her husband's body is on Apophis' ship. The only way to resurrect him is to get his body back.
2. Our SG1 has to be involved somehow
3. Part of it has to occur on Apophis' ship.
4. AU!Jack has to be brought back to life at one point, either with the help of the Asgard or by the Goa'uld for information, or something else if you can think of it. You can kill him again if you really want to, I just want to see him.
5. AU!Sam has to cut her hair, and someone has to remark on it. The reason can be up to you.

Summary: 1999 President Challenge.
The SGC finds out from the President that the end of the world is near. Your challenge is to write what happens and how. It cannot be a Goa'uld invasion, but some other disaster that will decimate the population of Earth. They have time to use the gate to get some of the people off to another planet--- but because of a problem, you decide what ;O) Jack and Sam are not able to be evacuated. How do they spend their last moments? Now, they don't have to actually die, they just think that they might. That's it, have fun people.

Summary: 1999 Profiler Challenge. One criteria-- these lines:
JACK: I won't accept that.
SOMEONE ELSE: Is that because you think I'm wrong or because you're in love with her?
If it sounds familiar, you might be a Profiler fan. I think those are awsome lines and I might put them in a fic of my own someday but for the time being I wanted to see what other people did with it.
