Letter Two: I Can't

Dear Jack,
Thank you for your letter. I read it, you didn't need to plead with me. I couldn't help but read it - I know every word.
You can stop saying sorry. It won't change my mind. You can regret your actions all you want, but in your terms you're the one who closed the door. You're the one who arranged the evening - I sat and waited for you, but you never came. You never spoke to me, never wanted to see me or be with me. I never understood any of it. You never told me anything except lies and now you say you want me back. Even though I love you I can't take you back. I'm sorry, but I don't want to see you - I can't.
Sam
