Conversation stops.
A moment of uncertainty, hesitation, ended by mutual, yet silent, agreement.
A chance is taken.
Initial shock turns to surprise to something else; the time has come, the time is now.
Coming together with a racing of hearts and a gasping of breaths.
Touch, sight, taste, smell, hearing - all new to the senses, senses that are overwhelmed.
Time is short, time is forever. Forever in this undiscovered country.
Innocent, yet fully comprehending the weight of this mission. This personal mission. A mission no one else will ever know about.
A mission from which there will be no return.
