As all flights had been cancelled due to a storm, they had been forced to return to Colorado by train.
Jack had fallen asleep half an hour ago, and the lulling motion of the train had brought his head to rest on her shoulder.
The old lady sitting opposite them gave Sam a knowing look. She quickly looked down at her hands, concealing the blush forming on her face.
Jack stirred and opened his eyes sleepily. “Carter?”
Smiling, she looked down at him. “Shhhh. Go back to sleep, sir.”
“Mmmm.” Jack just closed his eyes and snuggled closer against her.
