Dear Charlie,
It's been a while, kiddo. I just, well, felt the need to get some things off my chest. I'm really sorry things didn't work out with your mom after you left us. I really loved her... I still love her, but it just couldn't work. There's someone else now. Her name is Sam. She's incredibly beautiful, funny, and about the smartest person I've ever met. You'd like her. I don't love her more than your mom, just differently. Your mom and I will always share our memories of you. I miss you, and I will forever.
