I barely feel Daniel and Teal'c on either side of me.
I barely see General Hammond up on the dais. I barely hear what he's saying.
"Brave man... good soldier..." The words have lost all meaning.
Daniel hands we a kleenex and I realize I'm crying. I hadn't even noticed the tears... I swipe at my eyes viciously.
Well, why shouldn't I cry?! He was my CO... my friend...
I can feel people staring at me. I know the rumors about us.. And I'm not doing much to discredit them right now...
It doesn't feel real.
