Another Drabble by Lola

Ever so lightly that I almost didn't feel it. A slight caress at my left temple, pushing my bangs back, before the fingers tangled in my hair.

Sound, muffled, seeming to come from a very far distance. I can't make out what is being said. But some how I know the voice. I would know it anywhere. It belongs to him, the source of my greatest joy and most profound sorrow.

Slowly my eyes open, focusing on him, searching his face. Looking for a sign. Does he feel the way I feel?

'Welcome back, Major. I thought we lost you.'
