Daniel has made atonement with the largest bunch of flowers I've seen since the day Sara gave birth. Flowers won't help, here. And yet... this hospital room evokes much the same feelings. Relief. Pride.
My pride hurt her. She's right. I didn't understand, not until it was too late. She didn't beat it. It saved her.
