Story Notes: Hi group :) Told you I was inspired to write! LOL Thanks to those that sent me the details of the Challenge!!! This is my attempt at it now. I'm not sure... was it meant to be humourous... cos this is... but not really... if you know what I mean? And it's long. It's a full story... not a snippet. Let's face it I *can't* write short stories... *sigh* I wish I could! Here's my submission for the Challenge... I hope you like it :)
Part of the P3x595 Challenge.
Thanks to Mom.

P3x595

Jack held his hands up over his head. His Momma told him there'd be days like this!!! He felt the hands of the Villagers pat up and down his body then they moved on to Sam.

"Hey!" she startled when one got a little too friendly. There was a wave of seemingly apologetic mumbles, as the Villagers bent and scraped before Sam. She rolled her eyes, she didn't know what was worse - the frisking or the constant honoring. Her blue eyes flicked up quickly and caught Jack smirking. "It's not funny, Sir!"

He shrugged. He thought it was.

"Hey, go easy!" Daniel also complained at the rough handling, replacing his glasses after they were slightly dislodged.

Jack rolled his eyes. Teal'c stood silently, so scary that the Villagers almost didn't want to frisk him. Since they had arrived, the Villagers had been so taken by their skin color, and more so with Sam, and her hair color, but they appeared rather terrified in regard to Teal'c, shying at his slightest moves. Even though he was closest to their coloring, he was much larger than anyone they had ever seen in their lives.

Now they seemed ready to invite Jack and his team down to the small village of huts at the base of the hill that the Stargate sat on. Jack figured it was only fair they should check first for any concealed weapons. The Villagers stood back, eyeing the group cautiously then the Head Villager, designated by the rather large and obscenely ridiculous head piece, shaped like a giant Rooster's Comb, pointed to Sam.

"Telast!" he barked at the man on his right, his Second Villager, who, in turn, barked the same order at the small group of male villagers. The men fawned around him then reached out and grabbed Sam by the arm.

"Hey!" Sam started to struggle, but was soon held tight between two large guards.

"Hey!" Jack stepped forward at the same time, but he was held back by a knife at his throat.

//Oh, great!//

"Jack..." Daniel sighed, disappointed that the events had seemed to turn against them so suddenly. No one was prepared for this!

The Head Villager ran his hand across Sam's hair, down her face then under her chin, lifting her face up to look at him. Jack struggled against his guard but that knife was sharp. Damn sharp.

"It's okay, Sam," he tried to reassure her.

She swallowed then flitted her eyes over at him, and nodded silently. The Head Villager followed her gaze back to Jack then after a brief smile to him, turned back towards Sam. With a wave of his hand he'd ordered them to take her down to the village.

"Daniel, for Christ's sake! Do something!" Jack muttered through clenched teeth.

Daniel, also held back at knife point, tried to think of a language that even remotely resembled the tongue that they spoke in here on P3x595. "Errr..." he growled deeply as his mind raced to think of a word, *any word* that might reach them. "Telast?... errrr... ummm..."

"Oh, for heaven's sake... Daniel!" Jack moaned, frustrated at Daniel's sudden incompetence.

"I'm trying here Jack, give me a break!" he retorted through clenched teeth, more annoyed by the Colonel's lack of faith than the knife cutting into his throat. "Pel'ak!" he called out finally as they started to lead Sam off, stolid but unyielding.

"Pel'ak?" stopped the man on the immediate right of the Head Villager and he returned to Daniel.

"What did you say to him?" Jack frowned.

Daniel stared into the smaller man's eyes. "Pel'ak?"

The smaller man laughed and nodded, then he waved his hand in the air above his head, "El buk umm tobias."

Jack watched as Daniel silently mouthed those words over and over again, trying to work out their meaning. His brow furrowed quickly as he tilted his head. "Dis ulim... errr... pictiolia...?"

The Villager laughed and nodded enthusiastically. Daniel smiled. Jack breathed again. So excited by the final break through in communications Daniel gave a small excited jump then winced as he felt the blade slice his throat a little. "Owww."

Jack rolled his eyes. Again!

Daniel didn't let the sharp pain deter his enthusiasm for having made contact however. "El tobias... annnnn... hokinoor..." Daniel hoped he pronounced it right.

The smile grew bigger on the small man's face as he nodded, pointing to the sky. Daniel laughed lightly and looked up at the endless blue sky, nodding as much as the point against his Adam's Apple would allow.

"Hokinoor!" the small man nodded.

"Ahhh," Daniel grinned, both proud of his work and relieved by the information.

Teal'c raised his brow, then leant forward to look past Daniel to Jack, who returned his gaze with a roll of his eyes.

"Daniel," Jack said slowly, rolling head and eyes in the direction of the Villager. "You, maybe, wanna *share* with the rest of us?"

The smaller man patted Daniel's face a little roughly then headed off after the diminishing group now as the knives were removed from the men's throats. Jack immediately went to go after them, but Daniel stopped him by grabbing his arm.

"What the hell's going on here?" Jack's brown eyes narrowed. Daniel ran his thumb along the small bloodied cut on his throat then looked at his red thumb. "Daniel!"

"Oh," he lost interest quickly in the smear of blood. "Rain dance," he shrugged.

Jack raised his brow as he tilted his head slightly, a slight note of challenge in his voice. "Rain dance?"

Daniel ignored it, looking down at the small hut village at the bottom of the hill. "Rain dance! Sam, being female, and fertile, and obviously a... Goddess... of some sort," he pointed with a wave of his hand at the Stargate, "she is... ummm... requested to do a rain dance, to encourage the rain that will replenish the earth, make things grow, and then crops will grow, become fertile, making more..."

"I get the point," Jack nodded then looked down at the hut that Sam was taken into, "So that's all there is to it?"

Daniel shrugged. "Seems like it. They think we are her guards through the *shimmering ring*, and that we brought her here to perform a rain dance. Apparently it hasn't rained in nearly 5 of our years here... and they say that today is the day to ask the Gods for help. So... naturally, they assume... we... are... the help..." he shrugged, again touching his thumb to his throat.

Teal'c tilted his head. "You got all that information from that brief conversation?"

Daniel looked at his dark friend. "Yeah, why not?"

Teal'c lifted his brow then looked down at the village again.

"So... she's in no danger?" Jack's eyes narrowed as he stared at the hut.

Daniel and Teal'c exchanged quick smiles then they watched their concerned friend and slowly Jack looked back over his shoulder at them.

Daniel grinned as he licked his lips and scratched at his cheek lightly, "Kinda concerned there, aren't you, Jack?"

Jack looked between the large Jaffa and the often clueless archaeologist! //God, what a time for him to get cluey!// "No," he denied it, with a narrowing of the eyes.

Daniel pursed his lips and grinned then nodded and looked down. Jack looked past him to Teal'c, who lifted his brow and tilted his head.

"Oh, for crying out..."

"Jack," Daniel grinned now, "it's okay..."

Jack looked at his fellow team mates again. "It's not like that..." he muttered.

"Are you telling us that you have no feelings for SamanthaCarter?" Teal'c asked.

Jack choked on whatever words might have been next out of his mouth. When had he been so obvious? How had they found out! He looked at his friends, both unaware that they were standing in the same position, head's tilted slightly to the right, eyes expectant, awaiting Jack's answer.

"Oh, Christ," he sat onto the ground heavily.

Daniel grinned. They were right! He squatted next to his friend. "You know, you could do worse than to actually... tell... her..." he offered.

"No!" Jack shook his head.

"Why not?" was such an innocent question.

"I'm her CO, Daniel," Jack pointed out what he thought was the obvious.

Teal'c stepped forward, his hands behind his back as he looked down at the village below them. "Are... CO's... not allowed to mate?"

Jack groaned as he rolled his eyes and tugged at the tuffs of dead weed in the dirt he was now sitting on.

Daniel laughed lightly, catching Jack's amused look. "Jack?" Daniel chuckled, "you... um... wanna field this one?"

He gave Daniel a 'great, thanks very much' stare then looked up at Teal'c. "We're allowed to mate... just not with... subordinates," he shrugged.

Teal'c raised his brow. "What is a subordinate?"

Jack sighed and geared his brain to run through what a subordinate was for his alien friend but before he could get a word out Daniel rose to his feet, pointing down the hill. "Jack!"

Jack saw her too. Sam was being led to a large clearing in the centre of the huts, wearing a very unflattering dress. "My God!" he frowned.

"Oh, I bet she hates that outfit!" Daniel smirked, then looked at Jack, who's face was screwed up.

"Even *I* hate that outfit!" he sighed, then did a double take and looked at the grinning Daniel.

"That must be saying something then," he teased.

Jack rolled his eyes then nodded. "Yeah, that *is* saying something, because there's not a lot I don't like seeing her in..." he sighed as he stared down at the bundle that was Sam Carter. "What's happening?" he decided to ignore the stare from Daniel and the creeping blush threatening to overtake his entire body.

Daniel turned to concentrate on the scene below them. "Oh, ummm..." he shrugged. Jack looked at him then shook his head and looked away again as Daniel turned to look at him, unable to stifle his large grin.

"I believe she is drinking something," Teal'c said, unconsciously wetting his own parched lips.

"Well, at least she gets a drink!" Jack looked around at their guards, sitting on the ground behind them, seemingly unaware of the heat and need for liquid replenishment.

**

Sam drank the contents of the cup offered to her by a rather motherly looking native. "Thank you," she muttered, feeling like a doll over a toilet roll in that outfit.

"Lis'beth!" the woman offered her more. Sam shrugged and took another mouthful. She was thirsty... the sun was hot... pulsatingly hot... and the fru-fru dress wasn't helping!

"Thanks," she nodded, hoping that the guys would soon be there to stop her from having to make a total fool of herself and actually *do* this dance.

She had been instructed on the moves by one of the women in the hut and had a fair idea it had something to do with the weather or rain. But she would have felt a fool doing those moves, not to mention the fact that she had to strip slowly as she performed the dance, and toss layers of her outfit at the central Totem, as symbols of parts of the Earth reawakening with the Rain - should it ever fall again!

"Come on, guys," she muttered to herself as she looked around the huts for any signs of a rescue.

"Lis'beth," the woman forced more drink into her. Sam thought she might explode and she would definitely need the toilet if she drank another ounce!

"Really," a polite smile dimpled her cheek as she nodded, "enough, really, thank you..."

When the woman offered her more she turned her face away. Then she finally got the hint and went away with the cup. Sam looked around at the gathering villagers. Her hopes of a swift rescue faded with each passing second. Where were they? She felt the soaring heat beat down on her as she started to break out in a sheer film of perspiration.

Suddenly she heard the music start up and wasn't sure what was beating louder, the drums or her heart. Not being one for the centre of attention at the best of time, Sam dreaded having to do this... but she'd been in way worse situations, that was for sure, so she'd just do this and go home again.

Swallowing her pride and whatever remained of her dignity in that outfit, she reluctantly allowed herself to get drawn into the centre of the clearing. Centre stage, she slowly turned to take in all the villagers around her. She flushed a bright red. They were all here to see her perform this dance...

She felt her heart beat in her throat, matching the heavy sound of the drums as the sound past through her, pulsating through her veins and into her head. She couldn't help it, her feet moved in time to the beats.

//Oh, God!// she thought to herself, //I'm dancing!//

Her body swayed with the heady beats until she was unable and unwilling to stop the primeval dance she had begun. She started to dance around the totem pole in the centre of the clearing, amidst whoops and hollers from the villages.

Sam liked this feeling. Total abandonment. She really felt the beat pulsate through her now, down her legs, through stomach and along her arms. She felt as one with the drums, the heat of the day causing her face to flush slightly and her skin to glisten with perspiration as she flung her arms over her head and danced to the beat...

**

Daniel glanced over at the mesmerized Jack. He hadn't taken his eyes off Sam since the dance began and now he licked his lips lightly as he watched her strip the first layer, a green layer, of dress off and fling it at the totem pole. One of the guards, who had all come forward at the start of the drumming, told Daniel what was happening.

"Rec'luster..." he said.

"That symbolizes the awakening of the grass," Daniel translated, returning his gaze to the dance below them.

Jack made no response.

**

Sam sighed as she ran her hand up her arm, around her face then down the front of her, unhooking another layer of clothing, this time a deep green and brown one...

**

"Coul'tenuk..." the guard said.

"That's the awakening of the trees..." Daniel said, as he watched Sam dance wildly.

Jack swallowed.

**

She felt her stomach burn and her skin tingle now, as she reached down to remove another layer of clothing.

**

Daniel watched her toss the brown layer against the totem and said, "dirt," before the guard even told him.

Jack turned to look over his shoulder at his friend and Daniel noticed the diluted eyes on the Colonel. He quickly licked his lips then returned his gaze to the tribal dance.

Was it him? or *was* it getting hotter?

**

Sam was left in a soft flowing blue skirt and she slowly unhooked that and threw it at the totem.

The villages cheered. Loudly.

**

"Sky," Daniel said softly, noting Jack's nervousness when he saw that Sam was now down to an almost see-through white number.

"Anything to throw at the totem after sky?" he asked, his voice catching in his throat a little. Daniel turned to the guard and asked him the best way he could.

The guard chuckled. "Trellina."

Daniel frowned. He was unfamiliar with that word.

"What's it mean?" Jack asked anxiously.

"I'm not too sure..." Daniel wracked his brain for an answer.

**

Sam watched as a very well formed village male stood and approached her.

The beats of the drums increased and Sam felt her whole body tingle as he stepped nearer and nearer to her.

**

"Oh, what's going on here?" Jack straightened up, ever alert as he watched the tall thin village make his way over to the scantily clad Captain.

**

She looked up into the man's dark eyes, her mind a muddy whirl of colour and shapes, nothing really clear, except for the dark brown eyes that stared intently into hers. Heating her.

"Jack..." she sighed softly as she scooped down, catching the long hem of her dress in her hands then she, ever so slowly, started lifting it up her legs. Stopping her, the villager took her into his arms and kissed her.

"Jack," her eyes lolled shut slowly as she lent in to the kiss.

The villagers all repeated "Chack, Chack..." in their thick accents.

**

"What the...!" Jack was up the minute he saw the kiss and scurried down the hillside towards the village before anyone could stop him.

Daniel jumped up, followed by Teal'c and they headed off after him.

**

Jack scurried down the hill, hearing the cries from the villages reached it's peak as the two in the centre kissed long and hard, then the villager's hands started gathering the white outfit up Sam's lean brown legs.

As their lips parted Sam sighed softly, "Jack..." in her drunken haze.

"Chack, Chack, Chack..." the villagers reached near hysterics with the chant, thinking it was some type of blessing, uttered by their Rain Goddess.

Suddenly there were screams and shouts as Jack, followed closely by Daniel then Teal'c entered the circle. Jack ran and shoved the male aside then stood directly infront of Sam, looking at the big, dopey, drunken grin that filled her face.

"Jack! I'm so happy to see you!" she staggered, running her hands over his face, cupping his cheek in her palm. Then she turned to see Daniel and Teal'c, both trying desperately to divert their eyes from her very obvious form under the sheer dress. "All of you !" her cheeks puffed and dimpled with her wide grin.

"Ahhh, Sam," Daniel looked away, shielding his eyes a little. "It's a little more of *you* than I need to see though," he muttered as he looked up and saw Teal'c's gaping mouth. Reaching up, he closed the Jaffa's mouth for him, breaking his stare. Teal'c looked at Daniel and the younger man laughed loudly.

She giggled, loudly. "I'm soooooooo happy to see you guys," she stumbled, only to be caught by Jack. "Especially you, Jack," she pressed her finger against the tip of his nose, then she stepped back and turned around on the spot for the three of them. "You like my dress, it's pretty!"

The three men exchanged quick glances then Jack saw Sam start to collapse out of the corner of his eyes so reached forward and caught her. The villages, still screaming hysterically, thinking that Jack had somehow killed their Goddess of the Rain Dance started to slowly and threateningly gather around the travelers now.

"Daniel, quick, say... something!" Jack said, gathering Sam into his arms, her face fell against his throat as she fell into a deep sleep, overcome by the heat and drink.

Daniel looked as the Second Villager stepped up to him. They smiled in familiar greeting. He pointed to the sky. "Trellina el um nooorke?" then he pointed to the totem.

"Trillina...?" Daniel still wasn't familiar with that word, mumbling it softly over and over to himself. Then he lifted his face, his blue eyes wide! "Oh... clouds..." He looked at Sam's dress, clinging to the contours of her legs now, and then quickly back at the Villager.

"Clouds...?" he pointed to the sky, his forehead wrinkled as he asked the question.

"Trillina... nooorke... hubblia..." the Villager nodded.

"What is he saying, DanielJackson?" Teal'c asked, watching the animated man leap around, pointing to the totem then the sky.

"He wants the clouds for the totem... then..." he coughed softly and looked at Jack, "then the nooorke must be performed, to produce hubblia... or thunder..."

"Thunder?" Jack tilted his head in confusion, but the deep blush on Daniel's face said it all. Jack sighed heavily, now understanding. "They want her to throw what's left of this... dress... at the totem then..." he stumbled as Sam groaned softly against his neck, stirring from her sleep a little before going silent again.

"Then she must perform the nooorke with the Villager, or the Telnexh, to produce thunder... then the rain will come..." Daniel mumbled.

"That's not all that will..." Jack stopped himself, then looked sharply at Daniel. "It's not going to happen, you tell them that!"

"Jack," Daniel blinked quickly. Why did he have to be the one that broke the bad news all the time?

"Daniel, this Goddess has danced her last dance. You tell them that," Jack jutted his chin at the Head Villager.

Daniel sighed. He hated this bit. Slowly he turned back to the Second Villager. Suddenly an idea came to mind. "Oh... errrr... Telnexh... yun... ver nooorke..." he said, pointing at Sam and Jack, then the totem, then the sky.

The crowd stopped immediately then backed away, seeming to be paying homage to Jack now, smiling at him, bowing and scraping to him. "Daniel," he said cautiously, "what have you told them now?"

Daniel grinned. "Ummm... that the two of you... were... Telnexh..." he grinned sheepishly.

"Why is the hair on the back of my neck standing on end?" Jack frowned at his pink faced friend.

Daniel chuckled. "I told them that you were Sam's mate... and if anyone was going to errr... 'nooorke' for rain... it should be the... errr... two of you..." he stumbled, fully aware of the wide eyed glare he was getting from the Colonel.

"I don't even know what that means, but I just *know* it's landed me in a whole heap of hot water!" Jack muttered.

The villager's nodded, pointing to Jack and the totem then the sky.

"Calesh..." Daniel formed a house shape with his hands. The Second Villager shook his head and pointed to the totem. Daniel laughed softly. "Oh, not likely," he muttered as he adjusted his glasses, slipping down his nose from the film of perspiration on his face.

"What?" Jack didn't like Daniel's chuckle.

"They want you to perform the nooorke out here," he shrugged then concentrated on the villager again, again making the shape of a house then pointing to a hut, leaving Jack to sigh heavily.

The Second Villager turned to the Head and pointed to a hut. The Head Villager lifted his face to the sky then nodded. The Second Villager turned to Daniel and nodded. Daniel sighed heavily as a small group of women gathered around Jack and Sam now.

"I believe they wish for you to go with them, O'Neill."

"Oh, you think?" Jack felt himself get tugged along with them towards a hut. Holding his ground he looked back at Daniel, who shrugged.

"You challenged their Ritual, Jack. It's only fair you do all you can now to rectify that!" he said.

Jack's eyes narrowed as he looked at his friend. "Daniel?"

The archaeologist shrugged, smiling wryly. "I'm sorry, Jack, but you're the one that came down the hill..."

"If I didn't, she'd have been... you knowing... with..." he gave a sharp nod towards the still stunned, and somewhat disappointed, villager, "him!"

Daniel looked over at the tall, lean man then back at Jack. "That's true..." he shrugged.

Jack sighed then nodded.

Daniel looked over at the two Villagers and nodded and they beckoned for Jack to follow them again. "Err... Happy... nooorke -ing, Jack..." Daniel couldn't resist the tease.

Jack looked over at him then decided not to dignify that comment with a response! He straightened his back and carried Sam into a nearby hut. The villagers gathered around Daniel and Teal'c, slapping them on the back and offering them food and drink.

"I'd refrain from that drink if I were you, Teal'c," Daniel whispered.

Teal'c raised his brown then gave a slight nod. "As you say, Daniel Jackson."

**

Inside the hut Jack sat next to the curled up Captain, watching her sleep, nervous that any minute a villager was going to walk in and discover that they weren't really nooorke-ing.

Sam stirred in her sleep a little, his green shirt, that he'd placed over her for dignity's sake, and because the view was just too damn distracting otherwise, slipped off the sheer material and fell to the dirt. He picked it up and placed it over her again, resisting temptation.

They'd been in there at least an hour, and he worried that the villagers would get restless when no rain fell. He would wait until she woke up then they'd decided on the best way of getting out of there. He shook his head as he looked down at Sam's sleeping face.

He could have killed Daniel somedays... but this wasn't one of them. He smiled to himself as he brushed a strand of blond fringe from Sam's eyes, causing her to stir slightly.

**

Daniel was trying his best to hold a conversation with one of the villagers while Teal'c patiently allowed the younger members of the group to stroke his arms, amazed by the thickness of them.

"Oh... My... GOD!"

Everyone's head snapped around to look in the direction of the hut that Jack and Sam had gone into when they heard Sam's impassioned cry. Teal'c took one step towards the hut before a very perplexed Daniel gripped his arm tightly.

"O'Neill may need our help," he said.

Daniel, still stunned by the scream, swallowed then finally tore his eyes off the hut to look at his friend. "Somehow... I don't think... Jack need us... right now!"

Teal'c lifted his brow then tilted his head.

**

Jack rubbed Sam's shoulders gently then eased her back so that she sat back against his chest, cradled against him, his legs running along the outsides of hers, her elbows resting on his knees as she tried to catch her breath.

"You okay?" he frowned, brushing her damp fringe from her eyes. She pursed her lips together then nodded as she let her head fall back against his strong shoulder.

"I think... I... think... I'm *not* going to be sick afterall," she ran a shaky hand under her nose then swallowed, feeling the incredible urge to vomit subside without eventuating.

He let her rest against him as he continued to wipe her damp forehead. "Shh, it's okay," he said softly, his breath warming her ear. "That was a pretty violent way to wake up," he smiled gently, enjoying the intimacy that they'd never before shared, yet a little surprised she allowed it so easily.

"I'm sorry, I must look a fright..." she said weakly.

Jack had noticed that his green shirt had slipped from her again so he reached down and draped it over her once more. "No, not really," he said, resuming their cuddle again.

She snuggled back against him, enjoying feeling his strong body against hers. They sat quietly for a few moments, listening to each other breathing softly, Sam almost drifting off to sleep again in the cozy comfort of Jack. "Jack," she mumbled, "why are we in here?"

"We're meant to be nooorke-ing," he said, his hand caressing across her forehead then down her cheek. She tingled at his touch.

"Nooorke-ing?" she asked, not really caring as long as it involved being like this with Jack.

"Some ritual thing, to make thunder..." he fluttered his hand towards the sky.

"Thunder? Oh, I see..." a small smile pushed up the corners of her mouth.

"... And that then brings on the rain..." he explained casually.

Again Sam nodded, but this time a small contented moan escaped from her as she snuggled back against him. He was being so gentle, so caring!

"It's Daniel's fault..." he said, unaware his fingers had drifted down the side of her neck until they brushed the collar of her top. He snatched them away quickly, and she turned to look over her shoulder at him. "Sorry..." he started to apoligise but watched as her eyes flicked from his mouth to his eyes them back to his mouth again.

"That's okay, Jack," she smiled, her eyes closing languidly as he resumed his gentle caress. He felt the hairs on the back of his neck raise as if charged with electricity as he looked down at the flush, damp face against his shoulder.

Sam coughed softly, opening her eyes again. "I seem to remember kissing...?"

"You were about to perform the Nooorke-ing with some native..." he shrugged.

"I was!" her eyes widened.

"But you were pretty happy to see us though," he grinned.

"I was?" she smiled. She was always glad to see Jack.

He nodded. "That's why I stepped in. Naturally we upset the order of things, so Daniel tried to smooth things over by... well... by..." he looked around the hut then back down into her crystal blue eyes, "telling them we were... umm... Telnexh..."

"What?" she laughed softly.

"Mates..." he tried to make that sound as nonchalant as he could, "and he led them to believe that we could perform the Nooorke instead..."

"Oh," her eyes grew even wider.

He smiled. "You've been asleep for over an hour, they're probably wondering what we're up to in here..." he laughed, spurred on by her soft laughter.

"Oh, can you imagine Daniel?" she chuckled, "He's probably checking his watch now..." Her eyes flicked up to look into his dark, chocolate coloured eyes. The air was heavy with electricity now. Both felt it. An intense spark between them.

"Probably," he said softly, his eyes drifted to her red lips. She licked her lips nervously as his hand trailed across her forehead again, then down her face, slipping down her throat in feather-soft stokes.

She sighed softly, rolling her face away from the touch, allowing him better access. He stared down at his hand, skimming her skin lightly. He felt a charge surge through him. "Oh, God... Sorry Sam..." he realised again what he was doing and reluctantly took his hand away again.

She rolled her face back to look at him. "That's okay, Jack," she whispered softly, her blue eyes flicking between his eyes and his mouth. "I didn't mind..." she said then smiled, "I still don't..."

He was made aware that his hand was now caressing her arm as it laid over his knee. Slowly she let her hand slide down his leg to his ankle then back up to his knee again as she held his stare over her shoulder.

"Sam..." a little hint of the Colonel pressed into that word, but only a little bit.

"Jack," she whispered, looking from his lips to his eyes again, her hand slipping to his ankle and back again, the movement making his green shirt slip off the front of her again. She heard the soft sigh escape from Jack but nothing brought home to her exactly what the guy was feeling better than the pressure on her back suddenly.

"Jack?" she sighed softly herself now, getting confirmation for her own feelings.

"Sam... I... I..." he wanted to apoligise for his body's own thinking.

The air almost cracked with electricity now.

She looked down to his lips again, then turning slightly, stretched up and brushed her lips over his lightly. He closed his eyes slowly, wanting to recognise who he was kissing for as long as he could, but as he felt her tongue slip hesitantly into his mouth his eyes shut instinctively. Sighing deeply, he laid back as she crawled up along his body, the two of them melting together as they gently explored each other's mouth, familiarizing themselves with the other's taste as their tongue's gently jousted together. Sam's leg dropped between his thighs and she squirmed over him as his hand skimmed along the sheer dress she was wearing coming to rest on the rounded curve of her butt. She moaned softly as she squirmed down onto him, helped by a gentle press by him, as her leg slipped the other side of his leg, making her straddle his entire body now.

There was a sudden flash around them, but neither noticed it as they continued to consume each other, fully, completely.

**

Daniel winced as the lightening darted across the sky and the dark clouds rumbled in, like some obscure time lapse photography trick. Teal'c and Daniel exchanged looks then both turned to look back at the hut behind them.

**

Jack's hand felt little sparks of static electricity from Sam's dress and his hand continued to travel slowly up and down her back, feeling her strong back muscles moving beneath his touch.

Sam groaned, louder this time as she thrusted against the Colonel and Jack's hand slipped down the curve of her waist, up and over her rounded cheeks then down her strong thighs. Sam moved with his touch, her legs bending to follow his caress so that she was now kneeling as she laid over him.

**

The Villagers cheered loudly as the sky darkened, the air charged with electricity. Daniel felt the hairs on his arms stand on end now and watched as Teal'c, unused to the sensation, looked down at his own arms.

"DanielJackson, what does this mean?" he frowned, seeing the slight gooseflesh on his arm for the first time in his life.

Daniel shook his head slowly. "Storm's coming," he pointed to the almost black sky.

Villagers scattered, collecting vessels to catch the rain in and the men ran to open the nearby weir, to allow the dam to empty and be replenished.

**

Sam pushed back from Jack now, both gasping for air in the highly charged room, as she knelt, straddled over his groin. She stared down at him, a smile filled her face as she watched him look at her through her dress. His eyes finally made their way up to her face.

"See anything you like, Jack?" she grinned with a tilt of the head.

He laughed lightly then nodded. "For a while now..."

She raised one brow. "Really?"

He nodded as his hand slipped up her bent leg, then over her hip then up her side resulting in her leaning down so that his hand could reach her face. Turning her head, she captured two of his fingers in her mouth and slowly sucked on them. He groaned deeply and she chuckled as she felt the small thrust from his groin.

The first drop of rain fell and splattered the ground, almost evaporating immediately off the hot earth. It was followed by another, then another and then a down pour caught everyone off guard, leaving them scrambling amidst the rain and strong winds, for a place to hide from the torrential rain.

Daniel and Teal'c stood looking at each other. They had no where to go and were getting drenched by the second. Suddenly a young female villager ran out from her hut, grabbed Daniel by the hand then pulled him into her hut.

"Teal'c!" Daniel called sharply to his friend who ran to follow him.

Sam felt Jack's body press her into the ground as he laid on top of her. She bent her leg up to run her bare foot up and down the back of his still covered leg.

"Jack," she sighed into his mouth.

"Ah huh?" he wasn't giving up that sweet taste just yet.

"Jack... you still wearing your side arm?" she whispered. He leant back then looked down then back at her.

"No," he laughed. She started to giggle. "No giggling Sam!" he tried to make it sound like an order but as she brought her hand up to touch her face, he laughed softly too. She was beautiful.

Suddenly a loud crack of thunder brought them out of their sanctuary.

Sam sat up as Jack rolled off the top of her. "Holy Hannah!" she saw how dark it had become outside.

"What the...?" Jack got up now, heading over to the door of the hut.

He and Sam stood, pressed together, in the doorway, looking out at the mud slick that was, only a short while ago, dry barren ground. Sam frowned as she looked up at Jack. Suddenly the Second Villager, on his way to his hut, saw them.

"Telnexh!" he waved excitedly at them. Jack touched his hand to his chest and frowned. "TELNEXH...!" the Second Villager shouted and suddenly the others all left their huts to come out to see them.

"Sam, my shirt," Jack said. She ran and handed it to him, but he handed it back to her. "For you."

She nodded and pulled it on, covering her completely. Buttoning it up, she stumbled out of the hut behind him, into the circle of very grateful villagers. Daniel and Teal'c stood, a short distance away, watching their friends receive many thanks and praises for making it rain.

Daniel bit his top lip to stop himself from smiling as Jack caught his eye. Hands raised to touch Jack and Sam's faces, their wet golden hair, their wet clothing that now clung to their bodies. The dress was transparent enough when dry, Sam was glad Jack had been so thoughtful to ensure she was covered when she was wet. Jack had been so thoughtful... She smiled at what she'd just thought then looked up at him, standing beside her.

He smiled as he felt her slip her hand in his, entwining their fingers together and gently squeezing him. He brought his other hand around, and gently pinched her jaw line as he guided her towards him, their lips pressing together softly as another loud crack of thunder rang out, startling everyone but the embracing couple.

Daniel looked down, a little shyly while his friends kissed. Teal'c tilted his head as he watched Jack turn within the kiss to face Sam fully, both of his hands now cupping along her jaw while hers sat on his waist as they got lost in their passion once more. He only stopped staring when he felt a sharp dig in the ribs from Daniel. He then diverted his eyes. Even the villages all started to step back, stopping their praise and thanks as they stared at the strangers.

Jack pulled back slowly from her, both smiling broadly. "I think the mission is complete, don't you, Captain?" his thumb brushed along her jaw line gently.

"I'd say so, Colonel. And a very successful one it was," she smiled, blinking as rain fell on her upturned face.

He smiled. "Good, let's go home and debrief then..."

Sam giggled then coughed when he held his finger up at her.

"No giggling..." she nodded then laughed.

"Now, laughing..." he nodded, "laughing I like to hear..."

She bit her lips together then grinned broadly, her cheeks dimpling.

Daniel and Teal'c stepped over to them, nothing was said, but the two men took a good look at the couple's entwined fingers, the shoulder to shoulder stance, Jack's shirt clinging to Sam's tiny body, the intimacy with which Jack absently ran his other hand up and down the tops of her arms.

"Ready to go, Colonel?" Daniel asked, eventually, unable to hide his smile of happiness for them.

"I am. How about you?" Jack asked.

He nodded then turned his face up to the sky. "I think you've done enough for this world," he leveled his eyes at Jack who met his grin, then he titled his face to look down at Sam.

"True. And it's had its rewards," he squeezed her shoulders lightly.

Daniel nodded then took his glasses off, and wiped them with his sodden shirt tail.

"Let's go!" Jack pointed to the top of the hill, and the Stargate.

"Should you maybe get dressed again, sam?" Daniel frowned.

Sam looked back at the hut she was prepared in and nodded, looking at Jack. "Might be a little embarrassing in the embarcation room otherwise," she chuckled.

Jack slowly released her hand as she stepped away. "Sam," he called her, and she turned to him, "see if you can't bring that little number with you..." he indicated her dress. She laughed and disappeared into the hut.

Jack squared his shoulder as he looked at the smirk on Daniel's face and the bemused tilt of Teal'c's head. "We... made thunder..." he shrugged, looking around at the drenched village.

Daniel burst into laughter and looked around too. "I'll say," he looked back at Jack, licking his lips as he grin shyly, "I'm really happy for you, Jack."

Jack nodded. "I'm happy for me, too. Thanks, Danny, if it wasn't for..." he stopped as Sam stepped out of the hut again, the sheer dress clasped in her hand. Jack saw that and grinned and she laughed softly as she nudged his shoulder with hers.

"Let's go, Colonel..."

As they walked through the villagers the Second stepped forward. "Telr ul illian tou'ger," he said.

Daniel took a moment to process that then turned to the group to translate it for them. "We are welcomed anytime," he said.

Jack looked around. "Cool. Seems like a nice place to holiday. Some wine... a little dance..." he grinned and nodded at the Second Villager. The Second nodded and bowed in return at the God and Goddess that produced Rain.

"Let's go, kids," Jack said, reaching out to take Sam's hand in his as they made their way back to the Stargate... and home... to a very *interesting* debrief...
