Summary: 2000 Shot Challenge.
Write a story, please make it longer than a drabble, I like a little meat when I read, where Sam is shot, not while on duty, but while doing something ordinary, wrong place at the wrong time scenario, say she walks into the store or the bank and interrupts a robbery in progress, or is the victim of a random drive by, I know they have those in the Springs, or even more random yet maybe the neighbors in her apartment are having a domestic disput and the bullet comes through the wall, something interesting, and what is Jack's reaction to hearing the news? They can be in an established relationship or even just friends. I'm just in the mood for some good juicy angst here, gotta have the comfort to go along with all this.

After nemisis, for that time Teal'C, Jack and Sam spent on some planet, we don't really know what happened. I, being an unimaginary person, would love for someone to come up with a really shippy story about Sam and Jack's little time alone.

Summary: 2001 WoO Challenge.
When Jack and Teal'C were stuck in the time loop for God knows how long, and Jack did kiss Sam once, it begs the question: what else did they do? And how many times did they do it?
Preferably it'll be an NC- 17 fic, (my dirty little mind is already turning) and please include a scene (at least one) where they get caught.

Summary: 2001 Sam's Command Challenge.
Let's see Sam given her own command (whether that goes hand in hand with a promotion, you decide)-- be it because of the Goa'uld war everyone's talking about in the threads or some other reason (like that she deserves it!). I don't really care what happens in the fic-- but of course, it has to be S/J in some way (romance, UST, friendship-- you decide). A few ideas off the top of
my head are as follows: A party to celebrate the promotion (or maybe the creation of yet another SG team), her first mission on another team, or maybe her team has to go in after SG on a rescue mission, a quiet dinner with Jack (maybe under the premise of him giving her some pointers on leading a team).

Summary: 2001 Joe Challenge.
Since I read the spoilers re 2010 I've had some ideas buzzing round in my head and would love to see one of you talented writers out there turn it into a fic, so here goes:
After sucessfully sending the note Px whatever is blocked out of the Stargate computer so the future is changed, but what if Sam is still destined to meet this Joe guy?
What if she meets him when she is going through a really bad time struggling with her relationship with Jack, he laid himself on the line for her on a mission and was injured so wracked with guilt Joe seems Mr Nice guy and an easier and undemanding future (better for all concerned sort of stuff)
How would Jack react, what would he do to make sure that this time round Sam doesn't marry the Joe guy.

Summary: 2001 MacGyver Challenge.
OK, someone's probably done this story before, but I can't find it, so here goes:
Suppose MacGyver came out to the SGC to work with SG on a special assignment. I mean, we already know Sam is a fan (remember the comment in the pilot episode?). The guy's got security clearance; Special Ops training; is as smart as Sam (or, at least, very close!) with degrees in physics, chemistry, etc.; and has a pretty good grasp on archaeology/mythology; not to mention, of course, his UNCANNY resemblance to a certain Colonel we all know an love. So, somebody please write me a story and tell me what would happen. Would Sam fall for him? Would people keep mistaking Mac and Jack for each other?

Summary: 2001 Galaxy Quest Challenge.
Okay, watching Galaxy Quest anyone else who's seen it think the bad dude looks like an Unas? I'm sitting here and all I can hear in my head is Jack, "An unas?"
This is a farce taking of Star Trek and many other of the sci fi shows that have popped up since then. Except for the possible Unas I haven't seen much of a Stargate farce in here. Your challenge, should you chose to accept it is to write a fic where Sam and Jack go to see this movie or rent it, what would their reactions be? Can they and the rest of the team even stand to watch Sci Fi anymore? (this has been somewhat hit upon in some fics I've read over the last couple of years). I don't know just have fun with it. This movie's got a few funny moments, can also hear Sam bitching about the stereotypes of women in Sci Fi .

Summary: 2001 AU Hate Challenge.
If you hate someone you end up caring as much as if you loved someone. With that in mind, I have a challenge for y'all.
My only condition is that it is an AU with Sam and Jack hating each other, and ending up together in the end. Sam might've been transfered to another team so the regs wouldn't apply. I'll leave the details up to you guys and look forward to reading the responses.

Summary: 2001 Blondie Challenge.
The Tide Is High - Blondie song and I thought of Sam singing to Jack at some point.
What do you think would be the situation where Sam would finally come to this conclusion? (Okay the song is dated... but great.) I know someone just posted that the reason Sam and Jack aren't together is because Sam is the reluctant party. So for this song to work Sam would have to have
changed her mind. :)

Summary: 2001 Former CO Challenge.
In CotG Sam was very defensive when she met Jack. Many have speculated that it was because she's dealt with a hard CO/COs in the past and figured he'd be no different. The challenge is to write a fic where she runs into her old CO. What's her reaction? How does this guy treat her and how does Jack react when he finds out?

Summary: 2001 Failed 2010 Challenge.
* Mission to change past doesn't happen
* it's the same as the ep, up until Sam throws the letter through, In otherwords, SG dies.
* SHIPPY! must be more shippy than he ep, as that ep was no way near as shippy as several other episodes.
It could be an AU, and our universe travels to this one [the one where it didn't work] or something. Ya know, SG in 10, or is it 9? years in the future travel to this AU where that mission didn't work. If you do do the AU thing. Remember, you only get entropic cascade failure [like AU Sam in PoV] if there is a living AU self there. So basically, seeing as SG's counterparts are dead, no EC failure, for SG, Janet and Hammond.
AU is NOT a must.

Summary: 2001 Stargate Movie Challenge. Write a new version of Stargate the Movie including Sam Carter. (We know that Jack is married so there is no romance. Please no Adultery. I just don't see Jack as a man who would cheat on his wife. And I do not see Sam as a person who would sleep with a married man.)
Also include the year after the mission. We know for sure that Sara left Jack after he returned. You may want to get that Sam Romance in there. (though we know how rebound relationships go.)

Summary: 2001 Jack's Choice Challenge
It occured to me that if Charlie O'Neill hadn't died, then Jack likely wouldn't be part of SG (remember, he was given the original mission because he was suicidal as a direct result of his son's death.) So, if Jack could somehow go back in time and change it all (a la Malakai in WoO), would he? One the one hand, he'd have his son back; on the other, no Stargate Project, no SG... no Sam. :) I've been tossing this around in my head for a while, but I honestly don't know which
he'd choose.
Hence, my challenge: Which option do you think Jack O'Neill would choose, if given the opportunity? I don't care if someone posts the question to him hypothetically or if he's actually faced with such a decision, I'd just like to see what you all come up with. So please, I will be eagerly awaiting responses to my "If you had to choose" challenge. I really want to know what y'all think about this.

Summary: 2001 Talk About Laira Challenge.
Okay, in Shades of Grey, when Jack asks to go back to Addora, he asks the General if he remembers the woman he told him about. So, obviously, Jack and George had a talk. I'd like a fic about that talk, including George telling Jack about Sam's efforts to get him back (need to get ship in there somehow). How does Jack react to that information? What does Jack have to say about Laira? Remember, Jack's going off- world in 'Shades of Grey' was probably pre- arranged with Hammond, so it doesn't necessarily have to be flattering .

Summary: 2001 Post-Light Challenge.
I noticed after Jack grabs Sam and tells her she's in withdrawal she immediately goes "oh * I'M * in withdrawal" with emphasis on the 'I'm' as if to say * you're * the one. Now I'm the first to admit I'm an over- projector but did anyone else get the feeling she's not talking about the drug in the palace? (now hang in with me here) It seemed to me that she was still on their earlier subject, as if she had expected him to say something about her professionalism and she was prepared to fling the accusition back at HIM. The fact that he talked about withdrawal just made her quick answer about that too.
I want to add a challenge:
Someone write a story based on after they get home from whatever planet the Light was on. Include a mention of what they did during those three weeks and at some point have Sam seeking out Jack to apologise or maybe explain to him about what she said on the beach.

Summary: 2001 Pie Challenge.
Write a story that includes:
* Someone on SG obssesed with saying "I want Pie" for no particular reason. EX: SG is watching a movie, all of a sudden Sam says "I want pie."
* Someone obssessed with saying "Spoon" for no reason. (This can be someone passing by)
* General Hammond saying "Maybe one day I'll understand the whole pie thing."
* Sam calling a Cathloic priest a hottie. (Or something to the like.)

* Someone on SG obssessed with immitating Apu from the Simpsons. Bonus points if it's Teal'c. (Arabian voice phrases like 'thank you come again' and 'soup is in aisle 4')

This is just a little snippet that came to me while watching Crossroads. When when Jack says Teal'c and Shanok(sp?) have 'serious sparkage', have Daniel reply "There's serious sparkage between you two. You guys don't have history... do you?" Do what you will with the rest of the fic, I just want to see Sam and Jack's reaction to that line!
