Sam sneaked a sideward glance at Jack.

"What does he really feel?" she pondered.

He was busy setting up the campsite for their first night on P3X666. They'd been alone since Daniel and Teal'c had gone across the ridge to watch for 'the beast'.

Locals had reported horrific attacks and Daniel had insisted they 'get a closer look' at it. There was only one thing Sam could think about getting a closer look at right now, and it wasn't a beast.

Jack turned to her and smirked, as if reading her mind.

"Would you like it crispy or well done?"
