The team stepped thru the gate. All was quiet until suddenly a staff weapon blast nearly missed Jack's head. "Take Cover!!!! Daniel, Dial us home!! " He yelled at his teammates. Jack, Sam, & Teal'C returned fire. It was Apophis & his Serpent Guards! "Doesn't that Snake-head give up? Daniel! Hurry up!" Jack said. "I'm trying! " Daniel answered. The wormhole opened. "Daniel, Teal'C ... go! Carter & I will be right behind you."

"Jack ... " the archeologist began to protest. "GO!!!!" Jack ordered. Reluctantly, Daniel & Teal'C disappeared in the wormhole. "Carter , let's throw some grenades, and then make a run for it!" He yelled to his 2IC. "Yes, Sir." They moved to where they were right next to the gate. "Ready? 1... 2 ... 3 ... GO!" Jumping into the gate, they each threw 2 grenades at the Serpent Guards. Apophis had already left his Jaffa to do the deed of killing the "Shol'Va" and his "Tau'Ri Nemesis."

Meanwhile, back on Earth , Daniel and Teal'C stepped thru the gate. It disengaged right behind them. "Doctor Jackson, where's Colonel O'Neill & Major Carter?" Major-General Hammond asked. Daniel just looked around. "I ... I ... don't ... know?" He said questionably. "They were right behind us, DanielJackson. " Teal'C pointed out. "You don't suppose there's another gate here on Earth?" Daniel asked the Jaffa. " Let's get the seismographs ready." General Hammond said to Harriman. "Yes, Sir."

"Deja Vu" Daniel said. "If they are here and try to dial out, we'll know." General Hammond said to the remaining members of SG-1 ...

Sam and Jack walked thru the gate. "Uh ... Major, where ARE we? " Jack asked Sam as they stepped onto the cold icy ramp. "I don't know, Sir."

"Daja Vu." Jack answered. "You don't suppose they have ANOTHER gate on earth?"

"I don't know, Sir. Maybe. If we are back on earth, they'll find us quicker. "

"Yeah, the whole seismograph thing. I guess we just wait."

"Or... we could be on another planet." He just looked at her. "Um, if we ARE on another planet, that means that we will probably be here a long time before we're rescued. "

"IF we're rescued at all." Sam the pessimist added. " Carter, we WILL get out of here! I do not want to hear you talking like that, understood?" She smiled. "Yes, Sir."

Meanwhile, back at the SGC, General Hammond realized that the gate was offline. "Sergeant Siller, go get Major Como, and come fix this gate! We can't have our men and women stranded off world. Not only Colonel O'Neill & Major Carter are off world, but SG-2, SG-11 , and SG-9 are as well."

"Yes, Sir!" Siller replied. "Doctor Jackson, I want you to find your list of the planets from the last time Sam & Jack were missing. "

"I shall accompany you." Teal'C told Daniel.

"Man, It's cold in here." Jack told Sam. "Yeah, that's what happens when you're on an ice planet. " Sam said. She looked around. "OK! Let's look for a DHD." After hours of looking, they found it. "Glad it doesn't have a Jaffa on it. " He said smiling. The DHD didn't have ice on it like the one in Antarctica. "Let's go home." Sam said dialing the address. Nothing happened. "Carter?" Jack questioned. "I ... I don't know. I didn't bring the right tools to fix it. " She said bowing her head. "I guess we'll have to wait until they come get us." He smiled. "O-Kay ... "

ONE AND ONE HALF WEEK LATER ...

Back at the SGC, Major Como and Sergeant Siller were working round the clock for the last week and a half. They finally got the Stargate working. Daniel came running in the control room when he heard the usual klaxons beeping. The base was unusually quiet these last ten days. "Wh ... Wha ... The gate's back!!!??!?!?!" Daniel said. "Yes, Doctor Jackson, we finally fixed it." Major Como said with a smile. General Hammond walked in. "Well, it's good to have the gate back. Let's get word to SG-2 , SG-11, and SG-9. Get them back, then look for Colonel O'Neill and Major Carter. Doctor Jackson, do you have the addresses?" Daniel looked thru his paper. "Uh ... right here, General." He said holding up the paper.

Back on the ice planet, Jack and Sam were getting fatigued and they had run out of fuel for heating the previous night. They were laying fully clothed in separate sleeping bags on the cold ground. Jack was shivering. " I hope they don't take much longer to fix the gate. I'm pretty sure it's broken, or they would have found us already." He said rubbing his arms. "Sir, do you want to share body heat? " He looked at her, surprised. "Yeah."

"Good! Take off your pants and jacket. " He raised his eyebrows. "Sir, the best way to share body heat is skin-on-skin contact. We'll still have our underwear and shirts on, Sir. "

"O-Kay ... " He said wearily, stripping down to his underwear and T-Shirt.

They took her sleeping bag and put it down on the ground. Jack laid down on the bag. Sam laid down on him with her head on his chest. He put his arm around her and they held each other tight. They covered their joined bodies with Jack's sleeping bag and their Jackets and pants. They fell asleep. Hours later, Jack woke up. He had been having a nightmare about the time he was a POW. "SAM!" he yelled. "Yes, Jack. I'm here. Go back to sleep. " He felt her warm body on top of him and looked down. He stroked her hair. "Oh, Sam ... " She shifted her body, making herself more on top of him. Her bare leg was brushing his penis. That obviously got a reaction from him. "Uh ... Sir! Your sidearm is ..." She looked up into his eyes. " I'm sorry, Sir." They went back to sleep.

In the meantime, back at the SGC, Daniel and Teal'C joined Makepeace and SG-3 to search for their lost teammates. "We HAVE to find them. " Daniel told Teal'C. "Yes, and we will."

"Chevron seven ... locked." A technician said. "Let's move out." Makepeace said. In the control room, General Hammond and Major Como were watching the activity in the gateroom. "They WILL bring them back, Sir." Laura told the general putting a comforting hand on his shoulder. "I know. " He patted her hand , and turned away. "Keep an eye on things. I'm gone to my office." She smiled. "Yes, Sir."

Back on the ice planet Jack and Sam woke up. They didn't have the energy to do anything. Not even get up. It was getting very cold, and they didn't have any fuel to heat some water to warm their bodies. So they decided to stay under the covers, and eat their rations right there. Since the time they were stranded in Antarctica, they had made a habit of taking two weeks worth of food and a sleeping bag for each of them. "Sam, we're gonna die here, on a godforsaken ice planet millions of miles away from home." Jack said softly. "I thought I was the pessimist, Jack. " She said. "Any regrets?" He asked her. "No, Sir. No regrets at all. You?"

"I have one. I regret dying without having made love to you." She looked into his eyes. "Sir?" He put his hand on her cheek. "I love you, Sam, and I regret dying without having made love to you. " He repeated his previous statement. She just stared into his eyes for a minute. She saw the truth in their brown depths. "I love you, too, Jack." Was all she said. The gate opened, and minutes later, the PROBE appeared. They were saved! Sam went up to the probe and said into the camera. "General Hammond. Send Sergeant Siller and Major Como thru with my tool box. We have to fix the DHD on this side."

Meanwhile, back at the SGC, they were down to two of the planets on the list to search. They sent the PROBE thru to P2X-703, and got a surprising view. It was Major Carter! She was talking. "Put the sound up!" Major Como told the technician. They heard her message. "Get Sergeant Siller. Tell him to meet me in Sam's office. " She told the tech, running out of the control room.

Half and hour later, Major Como, Sergeant Siller, Janet , Daniel, and Teal'C were walking thru the gate with Sam's tool box. "Am I glad to see you!" Jack said, hugging the five as they walked thru. "Ditto!" Sam said. Laura smiled. "Same here ... now let's get this DHD fixed and get you two home." Janet smiled at them. "Anyone hurt?" Sam and Jack looked at each other. "Nope. Not this time!"

"Great! Now get fixin' " Daniel said with a southern drawl making everyone laugh. They fixed the DHD and went home. Sam and Jack continue a secret affair.
