Summery: Its a normal day for sam (or is it ?) somethings gona go bump in the night in her bed !.

Authers notes : This is my first attempt at a S and J storry so please understand when i get some of the facts wrong i aint a Jedi yet ! all i want to say is thank you all for inspiring me to write i would have never done any of this with out the web site so thanxs again .

In all rights this was to be another normal day for Sam . She had woke to the fact that she was alone in her bed and that she knew who she wished was there , the fact it was another normal day at the SGC and she would be working with the same normal people (which didn't bother her one bit as everybody knew her and her CO , jack had something between them ). She got dressed as norm drove down to the Cheyenne complex (again as normal ) and entered the building . But she could tell something wasn't right that something was wrong with the SGC today . "Major Carter take a seat we have some shocking to say the least news ." General Hammond said ot the even more worried Major now . "Go on sir ?" She was getting highly irritated that everyone around her was looking just that little to oddly at her that she knew it had something to do with her . "I arrived this morning to find an envelope on my desk Major and when i opened it i found a letter . " there was a moments silence before he told her the news "A resignation letter ." "A resignation letter sir who's...." Sam looked round the room T'Elc was there Daniel was sat in his usual seat even Janet was in the room but Jack where ws Jack . Her stomach sank and fighting to hold the tears back she plucked up the chance to say -" O'Neil has resigned ?"

As the day went on Sam knew everybody could see how she was feeling every time someone passed her she got the sympathetic forced smile and the "are you ok sam how's things ?" talk from her mates . She decided it was time she talked to someone and fast she rushed to the infirmary the only person she knew would understand would be Janet . Sam knocked on the door before entering remembering the time when she barged in on Janet giving Jack his Tetanus booster in the ... well you know . " Come in ...o Sam its you how are you ?" She couldn't hold it for any longer "im fi..." she stopped half way through mid sentence then knew if she carried on she wouldn't be able to stop all the tears. Running all the way she signed out the complex and drove home .

Sam opened the front door realising how tiered this whole thing had made her she went straight to bed the early sunsets had started to set in it was 4 o'clock and already dark . She sat for a while in her living room just in a daze wondering what had happened . There was no sign of him going no way of knowing where he had gone while thinking about all this the whole there are no regs now he has left so we can be together thing kicked in , but how could she start seeing him the way she wanted if she couldn't find him ?

"This is getting to bad im gona go to bed and get some sleep , boy do i deserve it ? " She got into bed not aware of the lump at the side of her , still in that daze from that morning . She was asking her self just that one question that burdened her - "Where are you Jack ?" "I'm right here !" With out a moment to loose or scream for that matter Jack started to kiss Sam before she could either jump for joy or knock him to his senses. She didn't say a word she just looked at his out line in the dark room lying next to her un able to say anything she began to feel that the days worries were about o be cleared away! She kissed him again slowly at first , and just checking it was him she pressed on his ribs on his left side to see if he flinched from the injuries he had sub stained during that Antarctic incident a few years back (boy can she remember that !). As he groaned a little from her prodding she realised it was the real O'Neil a little smile came across her face "I knew it was you ." she whispered in his ear . As things got hotter Sam felt all that anger with him for going melt away every time he touched her some where she only dreamed of every bad thought she had slowly went away. They made love there and then with no words but the occasional whisper of a name and fell genitally into a deep sleep curled up in each others arms .

"Well good morning ." Jack said as Sam finally woke . It was around 11 and with all what happened yesterday and the night before she was real tiered . Jack bent over to kiss her she greeted it with open arms as if they fitted together all along and him bringing her breakfast in bed was a normality . "Hi so it was you then and not Daniel , dam !" she said with a playful smile on her face . "Hope your joking , i didn't quit the SGC to find out you loved Daniel " he said smiling back . "O god that's right the SGC you left !" Sam had totally forgot the whole Œis this still one of my brilliant life like dream Œ things was going on in her head , like the time in the ice planet when they were different people but nothing could separate there love . "I left for a reason i didn't just go for the sake of a fishing trip you know !" "So why leave ?" "Because of this " He lent forward again and with out any other words Sam knew that he had finally gave in and wanted this as much as she did . He had left so they could be together and this is how it should be she thought . She kissed him and then said ," You sure you want this ? your gona miss the SGC ?" "I know but after last night id miss you even more " "i love you have for 4 years just to dam stubborn to admit it " sam finally admitted the words Jack had been waiting for to make sure last night wasn't a one of thing . " I love you too " and with that they went back to bed and back to how they were last night in love and silent . Nothing was gona break them now (well I suppose ...na nothing !).
