It had been a lovely few days of down time .The Colonel had shown Loran the fine art of fishing and of course how to play baseball, they made a good pair, Daniel had felt a bit left out though but still enjoyed playing with the guys. Teal’c the lucky so & so had no lasting side effects from that damn light, so he was off visiting his wife and son . He hadn’t been able to spend much time with his family since joining the Tauri, so any available time was most precious to him. Family life, what was that thought Sam. She loved her father dearly but ever since he had been blended with Selmak , he had become distant towards her maybe Dad and Selmak hadn’t noticed but Sam had .Her family now consisted of Jack and Daniel and Teal’c, she looked upon the General as a surrogate father figure. As Sam put down her book which she had been trying to read but got nowhere she looked up at the guys playing Baseball and asked “ Is there room for one more player ”? “ of course there is Sam “ replied Jack. Both Jack and Sam had decided as they were not at work, they could drop the formalities of rank names and just use their first names instead. That in it self caused her slight pain as she knew that as soon as the 2 weeks were over she would have to go back to using Colonel. The pleasure she got from calling out his name every time she needed him was great her heart always jumping a beat or two. It was down to the General and Janet that they stayed on this planet that was once a Goauld pleasure palace because of the radiation from the light when they went to turn it off caused them horrific spells of dizziness and throbbing headaches, so it was better for all concerned to stay put until further notice. Jack was loving this down-time he had found pleasure in showing this kid Loran the joys of Baseball, Charlie had lived for the game. Jack knew that no-one could replace Charlie he never wanted that gap filled his memories served him well though as the boys would have nearly been the same age if it wasn’t for that tragic accident that Jack blamed himself for .Yeah sure the side effects of the light had its down sides like the sweats and the feeling of being lost but he knew the others would help him get through the next few days. Sure he looked forward to going back home having a beer or 2, watching the latest hockey match on the telly, but he knew he would miss the closeness that had appeared between himself and Sam.

He thought back to when he had grabbed her as they had this silly argument over names, he cherished the thought of looking into Sam’s eyes as he held on tightly to her lapels trying not to look down at her firm breasts.

She knew she would have to make that move before they returned home, before it was too late.

It was nearly midnight Loran had managed to fall asleep by over eating again, ever since Jack had offered him ice-cream a few days back he was addicted to the stuff. “ Anymore chocolate chip ice-cream left” asked Sam” “No, I was thinking about asking the General for some more but as we go home tomorrow hopefully there doesn’t seem much point” replied Jack, “ Oh that’s a shame” muttered Sam under her breath “ Oh why’s that then, hoping for a mid-night snack !! laughed Jack sarcastically .

Sam couldn’t tell him the real reason why just that she would have liked a little bit, so she could spread it all over Jack and slowly lick it off just using the end of her tongue. Sam let out a little giggle not realising she was being watched by the other two. “What’s so funny”?? inquired Daniel as he saw the expression on her face, he thought that she looked beautiful and a smile to die for and those blue eyes that he would love to lose himself within them, but he knew that the pleasure he felt inside would only cause him more pain later on back on Earth. Daniel butted in “ “Oh go on Sam put the man out of his misery give him some pleasure instead, its about time you two spent some time together alone” .Sam knew what sort of pleasure she wanted to give Jack and as all the ice- cream had been eaten by Loran she would have to find another way of enjoying Jack that would be fun she thought. “ Ok I give in I will come fishing with you tomorrow” Sam gave her reply to Jacks question. They picked up their gear and headed away from the camp which had become their home for nearly a fortnight now. Not much was spoken between them as they were both slightly nervous about what could happen between them before they returned home they both felt the same way but just too scared to tell each other just how much they were in love with each other. Jack had prepared the rods and was now lying on the blanket while keeping a eye on the lines. Sam asked

Don’t you think you would have realised there are no fish in this sea ??”, Its not the catching that’s important it’s the relaxation that comes with fishing” replied Jack “ And talking about relaxing why don’t you come and join me on this blanket Sam ???” Sam saw Jack moving his long muscular legs to one side to make room for her whilst patting the space he had made for her “ come and sit here Sam ??” Jack asked. General Hammond had sent us more supplies, enough to last till tomorrow when we can all go home and have a proper cooked meal” Daniel told the both of them . Loran shouted from across the camp “ Also got you some more ice-cream” Sam asked “ Chocolate Chip ???” “ Yeah” Loran answered. As the four of them sat around the camp fire for the last time, remembering what had happened over the last few days laughing and joking. “ This is how family life should be” stated Sam “ Happy, loving and carefree” Jack added. “ What will happen to us once we get back to Earth? ?” Loran asked nervously, the boy had never been to Earth before his parents had died. He was worried about going he was also excited at the same time.

“ We’ll find you a family” Jack promised “ We’ll still keep in touch like families should do” he also added.

Daniel looked at the lovers and asked “ What about you two, you can’t hide your feelings anymore, its obvious you both belong together ??” Jack replied with his arms around Sam not wanting to let go “ We’ll manage Danny-Boy, our pleasure is worth all the pain that goes with it I know” Sam also added “ I LOVE HIM , what else can I do ??” With those 3 little words came a silence. As Jack and Sam entered his tent for the last time Jack asked “ So do you want to come fishing again with me when we get back home ??” “ Just you try and stop me” Sam whispered, with one hand undoing Jacks top, the other was prizing the lid of the ice-cream “ Now for that snack” Sam said seductively.

Jack laid down with Sam a stride his muscular body waiting for the pleasure to return to their heart and souls one more time.
