Oh, great. Another scientist. I really need one of those. The archeologist was bad enough.

A die-hard feminist nonetheless. This is going to be lots of fun.

And she hates me, too. I managed to make an ass of myself, as I usually do in front of a beautiful woman.

Wait. A beautiful woman?

She may be a scientist, and a feminist, and a subordinate, but she is gorgeous.

But even if she didn't hate me, I'm still her CO. So being attracted to her is a moot point. Nothing could happen anyway.

But there aren't regs against looking, right?

What did I do that for?

Great first impression, Sam. The man's a hero, and I yell at him the first time you meet him. Good way to get him to accept me on his team. I'm such an idiot. I always do this. I see a good-looking man and I start yelling at him.

Wait a sec. Good-looking? Where did that come from? Sure, he has nice eyes... but he looks like he hasn't combed his hair in days. And he has a good body but...

Ah, who am I kidding. The man's gorgeous, and he's my new CO.
