I pick up the tube of creamy pink wax and contemplate smoothing it over my lips.

If I did wear lipstick, who would I be doing it for?

I don't have anyone to impress...

That's a laugh. Come on, Sam, you know exactly who you want to impress.

Well, yes, but... I shouldn't. That's off limits. I shouldn't even think about him like that, let alone wear lipstick for him.

But I really want to!

God, I need help. I have got to quit mooning over my commanding officer!

Of all the men to like...

I put on the lipstick.
