"Jack, Oh Jack, can you come in here and please help me?" Jack O'Neill knew his wife would call him in to help with the closet sooner or later.

"Didn't you just tell me that you could handle this project yourself?" Jack said before even seeing his wife. When he did look, it was then that he noticed his wife naked on the bed.

"I have better things I wish to have you help with, than that closet. Come Soar with me Flyboy." She requested.

Within seconds, Jack was naked himself and joined her in bed. "Flygirl, I am here to please."

Just as they started to physically show their passion for each other, both beepers went off.

"Just great, the first chance I get to be with my wife and Hammond comes a calling." Jack said as he lays to the side.

"My turn to call in." She said as she reached for the phone.

"I do not care if we are off world tonight, you and I are going to have sex." Jack said as he nudges his way to the nape of her neck.

"Yes, General?" She asked into the phone. "Why may I ask are you calling us back?"

"Just say 'No' we are busy." A very frustrated Jack yelled the returned his attention the neck.

She turned red. Her face changed and her body tensed up, "We will be there ASAP." The she hung up the phone, and then turned in Jack's arms.

"Love are you ok? Kris, oh Kris, what is going on?" Jack then became concerned.

"We have to go to the base NOW!" Kris said and got out of bed.

"Ok." Jack then followed Kris' lead

Upon reaching the SGC, Jack and Kris went immediately to the control room. "Alright General, not to sound… well anyway, what's up?" Jack had a frustrated tone in his voice. The only thing that keeps him from going over the edge was contact with Kris.

"We just got word. The system lords' unification resulted in the destruction of the Tok'ra. Only Jolinar escaped, however she is badly injured. Dr. Jackson is with her now. Colonel, Major, I am revoking downtime. I am sorry. I know how long it has been since you have been off base. For now I am ignoring rule #1 for you two, but you two when called better be ready. Also we are having a briefing in 2 hours."

Jack leaned into Kris, "I guess if 2 hours is all we have got then it will have to do." Kris gave him a smirk and then walked out of the control room heading to her bunk. Jack followed quietly; he did know that now is not the time. He just wanted to see her smile.

The two went to the infirmary instead where they noticed Jolinar and Daniel holding each other while they slept.

"Looks like Space Monkey has finally decided what he is going to do." Daniel had been torn between worlds since Lantesh entered his body years ago.

"Yeah, and I am happy to finally see that he has come to the resolution here." Kris said. Then she took Jack's hand and pulled him out of the infirmary. Without word's Jack followed. Kris then stopped at the door to her quarters. (Yes they still had separate quarters on base. Part of Rule #1)

"Jack, I think that you and I need to have a serious talk. Please come in and talk with me." Kris had a solemn look on her face.

"Anything, Love." Jack said as he walked in and then sat in the chair by the desk.

Kris remained at the door for a moment after she closed it. Her back was to Jack. Slowly in movements that Jack could not see, Kris unbuttoned her blouse so that her sports bra was revealed. She then turned to Jack. The look in her eyes says everything that she is thinking as of this moment. She wanted to be close to Jack.

Jack got up from his place and slowly walked over to Kris. Then taking her body into his, he slowly lowered her onto the bunk. He started by passionately kissing her, while he slowly unzipped the frontal zipper on the bra. His hands began to explore her breast when an alarm sounded.

Jack and Kris held their position and continued with what they were doing until an announcement. "SGC compromised. Wildfire activated. Mountain sealed. 5 minutes until Destruction." It was an automated announcement.

"Well that is our cue. We have got to get you out of here." Jack said as he redressed Kris again.

"I am not going without you." Kris announced.

"Like hell you are not, Major," Jack became insistent.

"Colonel, Jack, I will not live without you. And there is no time to argue." Kris said.

"Well, then I guess I am going to have to go with you then." Jack smiled pulling Kris to her feet. They reached into the closet and pulled out a backpack extremely full.

They had predicted that something like this may happen one day. It was advised that everyone be ready just in case. Kris and Jack had similarly packed backpacks in each room. Both contained adequate change of clothing, a few personal things to remind them of home, However Kris had 3 laptops that contained all the information that they acquired through out the years over the Stargate.

The lights were dim in the Corridor. They needed to get to the infirmary for Daniel, Janet, and Jolinar. They then needed to meet Teal'c in the Control room. Getting there was a problem. Serpent guards patrolled the hallways. Eventually they did make it to the infirmary.

Inside the infirmary, the sight was gruesome. Jolinar lay dead in the bed with blood spattered all over the sheets. Daniel laid dead over her. In the doorway of her office, Janet too laid dead. Jack pulled Kris into and embrace so that she would not witness the last scenes of their friend's lives. "Let's get to the control room, we have 2 minutes." Jack said as he dragged Kris to the elevator.

They sent the elevator up to the 16th floor and they climbed down the shaft. It was safer seeing as they were being invaded. Through the access panel in the shaft, they entered the air duct and crawled their way to the control room. When the coast was clear, the two jumped out of the duct. Kris headed to the Computers and started lockdown and dialup protocols. Jack checked out the control room to find Teal'c and General Hammond's body lying beyond the door.

Kris entered the coordinates for Abydos. Looming down in the Gate room, she noticed that there were only 2 Jaffa standing guard. She decided to lock down the gate room. Taking one look at the console, she notice there were only 15 seconds left before destruction. Grabbing her Gear and Zat Gun, she went running.

"JACK," Kris called out. He was close at toe.

Shooting the Jaffas, Jack and Kris ran up the ramp and through the Stargate. Just after they entered the event horizon, the base exploded.

(SGC Commissary)

People were gathered to Greet Sam and Jack from their return from retirement. There was coffee, cake, and the whole works. Jack leaned in closer to Sam, "If I knew that they would have done this then I would have come back earlier." Sam turned her head and gave Jack a smile. She leaned in to give him a kiss when the alarms went off.

"Incoming Traveler." Simmons announced. Sam and Jack rushed to the control room like they never left to begin with.

"IDC?" Jack asked.

"None." Simmons said.

"Don't you think we should close the Iris?" Jack added.

"Iris will not respond." Simmons said.

Sam then sat down and started with the computer. Then General Hammond joined the group. "I don't understand. There is no reason the Iris should remain open."

"Retu?" Hammond questioned.

"Oh, I don't think so." Jack said as he noticed two people Male and Female be thrown through the gate. They seemed to be partially suited up with standard issued backpacks.

(In the embarkation room)

Kris lifted her head and saw Jack. He was mere feet from her. Disregarding, the soldiers with guns, Kris managed to crawl over to Jack. "Jack Baby, hang on. WE are ok. We are going to be ok."

Just then the med. team came along with General Hammond, and the rest of SG1. Kris willing gave up her weapon and tried to salute General Hammond, "General?" Kris questioned, "SGC?" Kris said and she passed out.

(Outside the Infirmary)

"Anything? Do you know anything at all about our guest?" Hammond asked.

"Well from the looks of it, he is Colonel Jonathan (Jack) Christopher O'Neill. She is his wife Major Kristina (Kris) Bailey O'Neill. By the looks of what she was carrying, she seemed to be the Stargate expert. I can only assume that they are from and alternate reality. Question is how did they get there through the gate? And how did they hold the Iris open?" Sam said.

Just then Janet walked out. "Looks as if Jack sustained a concussion and broken leg. Kris is better off. She has bruises and a dislodged shoulder. It has been put back into place. She will be in pain but she refuses pain medication."

"How long will they be in your care, Doctor?" Hammond asked.

"Hard to tell, Kris can go anytime really. Jacks need to wake up first." Janet said.

"Have Kris put in lock up then. I want Jack secured as well." Hammond said.

"Sir?" Janet questioned. "There are no signs of Gou'ald."

"Doctor, until I get answers, they are prisoners. They got through our iris. It would not even close. Now I want to know why. They are a security risk at this point." Hammond said.

(Sam and Jack's quarters)

Sam stood on the other side of then room looking at Jack. He seemed zoned. Sam casually walked over to him. "Jack?" Sam asked as she sat down close to him.

"This is odd." Jack said.

"I know. Tell me about it." Sam replied.

"This is the first time I ever encountered myself before." Jack said.

"Hey, remember that other Sam?" Sam asked rhetorically.

"Oh yeah." Jack said while taking a deep breath.

"I remember that kiss too. I still wish it was me." Sam hinted.

"Well let me show you." Jack said. He stood up and pulled Sam up with him. "You would be about here. I am about here. Then I move in, crook my neck, then…" Sam and Jack kissed long and passionately. They finally broke apart to take a breath.

"Wow." Was all Sam could comment.

"Tell me about it." Jack said. "What are we going to do about our guests?"

"Well for one, I want to know why you and I are not together." Sam commented kissing his neck.

"Me too" Jack added.

"Go talk to her." Sam suggested.

(Holding Cell)

Kris laid back in her bunk, she was worried about Jack. All she could do was sit there and wait for word on Jack. Her next problem came in determining what went wrong. Why were they not on the planet with the Shavidai like they set the gate to send them? Sure, they were primitive, they did make her dress up, but hey, they would survive and continue their fight against the System Lords.

Kris stirred when she heard the door to the Cell open. She did not try to get up to greet whatever officer came to chat with her, after all this was an alternate universe. Kris did turn to see Jack walk in.

Kris decided to just say what she was thinking before he asked, "Only thing I can think of is that this is an alternate universe. We know the gate has 9 Chevrons. The 8th is used to ensure Gate travel to and from an extended distance. I am only figure that the 9th chevron opens some kind of Time/Dimensional conduit or doorway. When the base exploded just as Jack and I stepped through the gate, the last two Chevrons locked sending us back to the SCG through a dimensional gateway. The power of the explosion caused the Iris to be forced open. Not a very plausible theory but a theory." Kris stopped, "Now that you know what I know about how we got here, when can I see Jack. And I do not mean you. I mean my Husband."

"How do you know I am not him?" Jack asked.

"Because I know the SCG. He would not be allowed to walk around freely. Hell if the situation were reversed, then I would have you in a cell or secured to a bed in the infirmary." Kris sighed, "I just want to know if he is ok. Please." Kris glared at Jack with her green eyes.

If Jack did not know better, he would swear that they were pleading with him. He could see how is Twin could be interest. However that was his twin not him. He much preferred blond hair blue eyed Majors. "Listen, I will take you to him. You do not seem be much of threat. We would like to see what you have done in your program as well. We want to help. Are you with us?"

"You have a deal. I will download my laptops to a removable hard drive so that you can see what we have learned, but as for anything else, as long as Jack is here, I will help, but after he is well, then we would like to discuss what we want to do." Kris said. She was just about to say anything of that meant that she could be with her husband again.

"Well then lets go." Jack said. The then looked at her once again, "Are you sure that Doc Fraiser cannot give you anything for the pain? There are plenty of great drugs around.

"With all due respect, Sir, I think either Jack or myself needs to have a clear head. I think in this case, I am the better choice." Kris said as she walked next to Jack. Somehow it did not phase her that this was her Jack's twin. To her, he was just another guy, maybe a brother.

"I see your point." Jack said.

The rest of the walk was made in silence. Kris thought that it would take forever to get to the infirmary. When they finally arrived Kris went over to her Jack. Sam was already there, she went next to hers.

"How is he, Doc?" Kris asked, just stoking his hand.

"He is stable, which is a lot better than critical. He has made it this long, his chances are getting better." Janet said. "I will know more when he wakes up. Good thing he is unconscious and not in a coma." Janet then walked over to Sam and Jack and took them into her office. They could see Kris with her Jack from the window. She was not making an effort to leave.

"Doc?" Jack asked.

"He is getting stronger. Just giving her time with him may drag him out of his unconscious state." Janet said.

"Why has he not going through the Tropical something or other failure?" Jack asked.

"That would be Entropic Cascade Failure, Love." Sam said.

"I love it when you talk scientist, Sam." Jack said. He then proceeded to kiss Sam. Janet only smiled.

"Well you guys, give me a minute and you can get a room. The reason is that Jack in there in not your alternate it is more like your genetic twin." Janet said.

"But I have no twin." Jack reminded Janet.

"In the other reality, you did." Janet said. Jack then looked out the window at the bed that contained his brother. (Metaphorically speaking of course.)

"I wonder what may have happened." Sam said curiously.

"We will soon find out." Janet said.

Back in the other room of the infirmary, Kris sat next to Jack. "Hey there. You need to wake up now. Remember you still owe me a night of unimaginable passion. You would not want to disappoint me would you?" Kris said. Her eyes were filled with tears. She just lost everyone and everything that mattered except for Jack, now she was faced with losing him.

Jack looked back into the infirmary, "I don't think she is going to take off."

"Neither do I." Sam agreed.

"Post a couple of SF's at the door and that should be it." Jack said.

"Agreed." Sam and Janet said in unison.

The phone rang so Sam and Jack took this time to spy on Kris and Jack. Then Sam and Jack shared a moment with their eyes that was just as intimate as making love.

"Guys," Janet called out. "Guys," she said louder. "GUYS" Janet finally got through, "General Hammond wishes to see you two."

"Right, Let's go." Jack said.

Sam and Jack walked the corridor holding hands. "This is weird, suddenly I have a brother." Jack commented.

"That explains why I didn't come with you. It was not you at all." Sam smiled.

"Yeah, that is another thing, where are we?" Jack piped in.

"I am sure we will find out in time." Sam said as then entered Hammond's office.

After immense conversation, it was decided to have a debriefing with Kris.

Kris soon fell asleep next to Jack, next thing she knew Daniel was waking her up. "Listen, Major O'Neill, General Hammond wants to see you." Kris looked at Daniel then at Jack. She did not want to leave him and Daniel could tell. "He will be here, and besides it would be a show of good faith if you went."

Kris nodded and agreed that it was the best thing to do. Last thing she needed was to be kicked out of what could be their only sanctuary. She followed along in silence, as she was not in the mood to talk at all.

In the Briefing room, Jack, Sam, Teal'c and General Hammond were already waiting. "Major. Welcome, please have a seat. I have some questions as I believe you do as well."

"Yes sir." Kris said.

"First of all, how did the Iris stay open?" Hammond went for the big question.

"Actually I have come up with two theories. One if which I told Colonel O'Neill," Kris started. She could see Jack sink into his seat when he realized that she was indeed another Scientist. "Alright theory number one is least likely. We have been doing research on Chevrons 8 and 9. We know they are there for a reason but are not really needed as such. Chevron 8 adds distance. We were Theorizing that the 9th Chevron may actually be either a dimensional placement which can take you from reality to reality, or it dealt with time travel. Now the force of wildfire could have locked the 8th and 9th Chevron"

"That is one theory. What was the other?" Sam said. She seemed interested and thought on how plausible things were.

"Yes, well when we entered the gate, wildfire, our base's self destruct, went off. We exited the gate at a greater velocity then we entered. I think the magnitude of the force of wildfire pushed us through the gate and allowed your iris to remain open. Actually forced your Iris to remain open. It is possible seeing out gate was open when wildfire when off."

"I see, thank-you. Anything else?" Hammond asked.

"Why is your Jack a twin to me and not a match to me." Jack said hoping that it would come out straight.

"I was wondering when this would occur. We actually had an alternate Daniel Jackson show up in out universe, so we did some research. Colonel O'Neill, in our reality, you died in a swimming accident. You insisted on diving from a tree into a shallow river. Jack witnessed it all. It tore him, up. He Joined the Airforce to forget. Major Carter also died at a young age. She was with her mother when the cab they were in got into a deadly accident. As for Daniel and Teal'c they were both killed a few days ago, when the base was attacked." Kris said. Tears fell in her eyes for her fallen friends.

"I did some looking up on you as well," Daniel said, "You double was killed a few years ago, when one of her student shot her in the head. Your double was a teacher in this reality."

"I was/am too in mine. I quit teaching when I got my degree in astrophysics and Jack asked me to join him in the Stargate program." Kris said.

"How did you get to be a major then?" Jack asked.

"After Jack and I were married, I told him that the one regret I had was never serving in the military. He asked me if he could arrange it that I am in the airforce, would I want to be. I told him yes. I though nothing of it until our first wedding anniversary when he brought me before the General and they asked me one more time if I would want to me in the military. I said yes. Because of my field record and my ability to pass all the physical and mental exams, and with my degrees, they granted my request and made me a Major. That was almost 3 years ago." Kris reflected on that time.

Suddenly Janet interrupted the meeting. "He is awake." That was all that needed to be said. The entire briefing exited the room and moved down to the infirmary.

The group was head off at the entrance to infirmary. Janet stood there ready to make a report. "He is awake and alert, and no reason why he should not recover."

Kris heard all that she wanted to hear. She now wanted to see Jack. "Can I see him now?" Kris asked already walking to the door.

"Actually, Major O'Neill, he does not want to see you. He wants to see General Hammond." Janet tried to make it sound easy, but knew there was no way for breaking it to her gently.

"What?!" Kris was flabbergasted.

"Sorry," Janet said. General Hammond entered the room.

The General moved over to Jack's bed and peered at the twin of one of his best CO's he ever commanded. "How are you feeling, Son?" Hammond asked.

"Could be better." Jack said. "What is going on?"

"You wife could explain it better than I can. You are in an alternate reality. As to how and such, that is still to be ascertained. However, she has got some good theories." Hammond stated.

"How is she?" Jack asked. He was holding it in, but could not wait any longer. He had to know how Kris was.

"Aside from being stubborn about taking pain medication, she is fine. A bit hurt last time I saw her. Why do you not want to see her, Son?" Hammond knew better than to pry into personal affairs, but this time it was different. This was not like the last time when Dr. Samantha O'Neill and Major Kawasaki came through the mirror.

"I just don't want her to see me like this." Jack said. Unbeknownst to the General and Jack, Kris stood at the door listening. She could not keep quiet any more.

Taking a step in Kris said, "I do not care how you look, You are alive and with me and I still think you are the most handsome thing in the universe."

"Kris…" Jack started but Kris put a finger on his mouth the followed her finger with her lips.

The two did not notice General Hammond's retreat out of the room. Kris began to squirm a bit as her arm with the dislodged shoulder was crushed between their bodies. She refused to break the kiss, but Jack noticing, did. "You should take something." Jack said.

"No, one of us needs to stay alert, and seeing that I am not the one in bed…" Kris said.

"Well get in bed then." Jack said. Kris did managed to find room to lay next to Jack in bed.

"Jack, now you promised me a night of hot passion, I do not think you are in any mood to do that, so don't get any ideas." Kris said sternly.

"What me? Get ideas?" Jack had an evil grin about him.

"Remember, I know you." Kris said. "Jack what do we do?"

"Can we go home?" Jack asked.

"No even if the Gou'ald had not taken over the planet, we could not know where to begin to find a way home. WE came to this reality through the Stargate." Kris told him.

"That is not possible." Jack whispered.

"Apparently it is." Kris said. "Jack we are here and we are alive, and most importantly, we are together." Kris did not want to be too sappy, but the fact of the matter is she was overjoyed that Jack was still with her even though everyone else they knew was gone from their lives.

"So umm, let me ask again, can we go home?" Jack asked.

"I do not think so, our gate would be buried or destroyed, and there is not way to figure out how to return. We are stuck here." Kris said as she moved tighter into Jacks arms.

"Whatever happens next, it happens to us together." Jack commented and then places a kiss on Kris's temple.

SG1, the General, and Doctor Fraiser went up to the briefing room. "Sir, what do you think?" Janet was the first to ask even though everyone else wanted to.

"Actually," General Hammond took a breath, "I feel good about keeping them around. I am not sure why. When Doctor Carter and Major Kawasaki it did not sit easy with me. Maybe it was because I knew their duplicates. As far as we knew, these two have no duplicates and there is no way to send them home anyway."

"Actually I agree, they should stay, Sir, and I would like them to stay with the SGC and SG1." Jack said abruptly. Everyone stared at him. Sam was shocked most of all by her husband's comment.

"Let's not get ahead of ourselves, Colonel. There is still a phone call I have to make." General Hammond got up and left the room.

"Ok, Jack, What is the deal?" Sam asked with the confused look on her face.

"What?" Jack said.

"Why so eager to have them stay and on SG1?" Sam almost had to spell it out for him.

"I don't know. I have this connection like a long lost twin brother that I missed having and well, even though I have not seen him or talked to him, I am not willing to lose that relationship." Jack said.

"Honey, are you ok?" Sam said.

"Sam, I just cannot explain it. You just have to trust me." Jack said.

"I do." Sam replied, "I am behind you and I agree." Sam was a bit reluctant to display such trust in the strangers but she did trust Jack. Right now, her trust in Jack was all she needed.

General Hammond reentered the briefing room. "President has decided to leave it at my desecration. So, I guess they stay. Only if they want to. If they want to go through the gate and live somewhere else that is ok. I will offer them positions here at the SGC, but I am not obligating them to it." Hammond was then very quiet.

"It sounds fair enough." Daniel said.

"Good, now I think we should tell them. If you want them on the team with you then you all should be there for added support." Hammond said in his commandeering tone.

SG1 got up from the table and headed to the infirmary. Both of the newest members of this reality were lying together asleep. Jack seemed to be comforting Kris's shoulder in a protective manner.

Jack was not as asleep as they thought, "Hey all." He whispered. He did no want to wake Kris. "What is going on?"

"We came to talk to you and your wife." Jack (that was not in the bed) chirped in.

"Hmmm, what?" Kris asked.

"You are suppose to be asleep." Jack said to his wife.

"Just, shush and let the man speak." Kris said as she struggled to get up.

"Look I am going to make this brief. We would like to you to stay with us and be a part of this command. Be a part of SG-1. If you want a home then you have one here with us." Hammond said.

"Wow, that is a big offer." Kris said looking at Jack.

"We can offer you civilian status. You both can continue to do what you did before." Hammond added.

"At about 10 times the amount of pay than being in the military gave you." Daniel chirped in.

"That is very generous, but Kris and I have to discuss what we want to do. WE are happy now that we have an option." Jack said and everyone stepped out of the room.

"Well?" Kris asked.

"I will go anywhere you go. You know that. Since we are together now. I will not allow us to be apart again." Kris moved in closer.

"I like the idea of staying here on Earth." Kris was beginning to feel at home again.

"I do not know about being a civilian." Jack said. He had been military all his adult life.

"Oh being a civilian is not that bad. No one to salute and you can tell off your CO and not get reprimanded." Kris reflected in the time she did just that to Jack.

(One month later)

All member of the newly enlarged SG1 was cleared for active duty. The past moth was interesting. It was as if Jack and Kris belonged to this world. They fit in perfectly. Sam and Jack both welcomed the newcomers to move in with them in the house. Sam and Kris spent a lot of time together deciphering the information on the laptops that had the other Stargate information. New Stargate addresses were introduced and the first mission was to one newly uncharted planet.

"Welcome Campers to PA3454." Jack said as the gate disengaged. Since his and Sam's return to active service, this was the first mission they have been on. It was something else as well. Now SG1 consisted of 6 members. The team was there for a 48-hour mission. Daniel as usual went to look at local rocks. Jack, and Chris (The Jack from the alternate universe. Kris persuaded her husband to use his middle name Christopher. He agreed.) went to establish a perimeter. Sam, Kris and Teal'c set up camp.

When it became dark, the group sat around and told stories around the fire. Most stories were of the newbies, Kris and Chris. Jack asked Chris how he got to be called Jack.

"Actually it is quite a funny story. When my brother and I started Kindergarten, we were learning how to pronounce the letters of the alphabet. When we got to J, Jon went home and took my initials JC, that is what I was called at the time, and sounded it out. He went to Dad and told him that he could read my name. He handed him the paper with JC on it and said Jack. Dad laughed and ever since then I was known as Jack. I am glad we stuck with it growing up. Jon would have loved that." The Chris got up and walked over to the trees. It got a bit emotional for him.

"I am sorry I should not have asked." Jack told Kris.

"It is ok. He loves talking about Jon, just that he holds this day in his heart. Today is the anniversary of his death." Kris whispered. And turned to Chris. "He would not be who he was if that event did not happen." A small tear went down her eye.

"Alright, time to hit the hay. I'll take first watch." Jack said. Chris then claimed second, followed by Sam, then Teal'c, and finally Kris. Daniel was out all night with allergies. Some things never change over the course of universes.

Daniel was the first to awake the next morning. It was right before Dawn so he expected to see only Kris up on watch. He noticed the fire nearly dead and Kris' MP5 lying on the ground. He went to check the tents, but she was nowhere. He did not want to alarm Chris so he went to Teal'c first. "Hey, Teal'c?" Daniel whispered pulling Teal'c out of his Kel'nor'reem.

"What can I do for you Daniel Jackson?" Teal'c responder.

"Kris is gone. Did you notice anything?" Daniel asked.

"None, perhaps she went out into the woods to take care of some personal business." Teal'c suggested.

"And leave her MP5 laying against the tree stump?" Daniel added.

"Perhaps we should wake the others and go check on her." Teal'c suggested.

Daniel was unsure but knew that Teal'c was right.

After the other jumped out of their tents, Jack initiated a patterned search. Jack and Chris went off to the South, Sam and Teal'c went west, and Daniel stayed at the camp incase of her return.

Daniel took a seat where he thought Kris sat and looked around. He noticed a dart on the ground and picked it up. Then he heard something that startled him out of his investigation. The Stargate was being activated. Daniel got on his Comm unit and alerted the rest of SG1. He then headed to the Stargate. There a group of natives had Kris. She was obviously drugged to a sleeping state. The next sight was that of Apophis. He came to the natives and claimed Kris.

Daniel made sure he got it down on tape and relayed over the radio that Apophis was there and was surrounded by many guards. Daniel alone could not save Kris. He hated the fact that Chris wife was about to be taken. It was not until now that he noticed that Kris and Sha're shared similar traits.

Chris came running to the gate and got there just after it closed. He fell down at the base when he realized he was too late. Jack went to him, as did Daniel. "I taped it all. I have the address."

"Good, lets assemble the Team and get back to the SGC to send a MALP through."

In the distance there was gunfire. Sam and Teal'c while running for the gate were fired upon. They ran faster, then suddenly a Jaffa moved in front of the two. Sam focusing on the Jaffa missed the tree stump that rested on the ground and fell face first into the dirt. Sam saw the Staff blast go past her, but she did not see that Teal's received the blow. The staff weapon shot that was meant for Sam was taken by Teal'c. With her MP5, Sam shot the Jaffa.

Daniel dialed up Earth while Jack and Chris went after the sound of the gunfire. Jack noticing Sam grabbed he as Chris went to Teal'c, "He is alive, barely."

"Sam, Sam. Come on Sam answer me." Jack urged, she seemed to be in shock of the events.

"I am alright. Teal'c" Sam screamed.

"I need to help Chris, can you walk?" Jack said. Sam just nodded and got up. The three of them managed to get Teal'c back to the SCG.

As soon as the Medics took Teal'c into their care, Chris turned to Daniel. "Space Monkey, get to work on that tape. We need to go get Kris!" Chris ordered. Hammond and Jack just looked at Chris. Daniel then turned to Jack who nodded approval.

"Someone want to tell me what is going on?" Hammond then looked at Sam. "What is the matter with Sam and where is Kris." General Hammond took to calling SG1 by their first names because it was a bit bothersome with 4 O'Neills around.

"Let's go and debrief." Jack suggested then turned to Sam. "Sam, Honey." Jack took her arm started to guide her.

"Maybe you should all go to the infirmary." Hammond suggested.

"WHAT ABOUT KRIS!" Chris said in an irate tone.

"Daniel will get the coordinates together and we will send a MALP through and do an initial scout. You are not good in retrieving her unless you get checked out." Hammond saw Chris starting to protest. "That is an order, Son." Hammond added.

In the control room Daniel retrieved the 7 symbols used to take Kris to her alternate location. While gathering that data, Hammond entered. "Can you tell me what happened?" He asked Daniel who seemed to be the most clear-headed for a change.

"Everything was going great. Everyone was on his or her scheduled watched. Kris was on the last watch. When I woke up, she was gone but her MP5 was still there. We split up into search parties and I stayed at camp to see if she came back. The I noticed this," Daniel the produced an arrow. "While studying the arrow, I heard the Gate open, contacted the rest of the group, and checked it out. I notice some natives were handing off Kris to Apophis. It makes sense now. The arrow and that."

Just then Captain Simmons chirped in. "Sir, there is no response from the gate. The coordinates are dead coordinates."

"What?" Daniel said.

"Apparently, the gate was disabled when they exited. A connection was not established." Simmons again said.

"Well, who is going to tell Chris?" Daniel said softly.

(SGC Infirmary)

In the infirmary, it was a different story. Jack sat on a biobed holding Sam while Chris paces back and forth. Dr. Warner was taking care of Teal'c's surgical needs.

Janet was trying to give SG1 their post mission physicals. Chris would not sit still. As for Sam, Janet already injected her with something to relax her. Janet could not get over how all Sam would say was that it was all her fault.

Jack for a change was the model patient for Janet. Janet almost admitted herself for observation for shock by the change in Jack. Jack's concerns went to Sam. He sat next to her and put his arms around her.

"It's all my fault." Sam keeps saying.

"What is, Love?" Jack asked.

"Teal'c is dead because of my clumsiness." Sam said then went back to her chanting of it being her fault.

"Sam, Teal'c is not dead and it is not your fault. Teal'c will recover. He is going to be fine. If it was you, then you would be dead." Janet tried to explain. This explanation fell on deaf ears.

The current situation ended when Daniel walked into the infirmary. "Daniel, Space Monkey, Danny Boy, Please tell me that you have good news for me." Chris said.

Daniel moved behind Jack, Sam and Janet. "The gate on the other end has been disabled. I am sorry. We are contacting the Tok'ra to find out if they can identify the planet."

Chris went into a hysterical rant. He kicked things over and threw things across the room. Some SF's managed to subdue him while Janet injected him with a tranquilizer. As if things could not get any worse, Sam pushed Jack and the blanket that was around her away. Jumping off the bed, she ran out of the Infirmary. Jack gave Janet a look then ran after her.

It wasn't until Jack reached their quarters that he caught up with Sam. "Don't." Sam said. She was not in her right mind. Jack looked at her. He had never seen her so upset.

"Sam, Love." Jack said. He finally realized the look in her eyes and it terrified him. "Sam, what happened to Teal'c is bad, but he is going to recover."

"If he would have died, then I would have been his as guilty as his executioner. Jack, I am not as sharp as I use to be. I do not think I can handle this." Sam said.

"Sam, we'll handle it together. WE need you, I need you. You are just like the rest of us. You are not infallible. WE all goof up. Your goof up, ensured your survival and only HURT someone. Not KILL them. Teal'c would die for you anyway. Sam, stay with me." Jack said.

"Jack, I am tired." Sam said.

"I know you are, come." Jack commanded as he guided her to the bed and laid her down. He then moved to the other side and joined her. He pulled her tightly into his arms. "I love you, Sam."

"Even when I act like a cry baby like now?" Sam asked realizing that everything was indeed going to be all right.

"Especially now." Jack said.

"Good, because I love you too." Sam finished then turned in Jack's arms and scooted into him more.

**In Apophis' temple on Parathion**

Apophis looked at the now sleeping member of SG1. She had been donned in sacramental robes to adorn her beauty. Her brown hair only accentuated the golden chains. He gently took a finger and slowly stroked her cheek. "Ah, you shall make a beautiful mother to the host of your new God." Apophis had decided that he was no longer interested in the Harceisis Child. He was to get his Heir another way.

While Kris slept, Apophis started the process of creating that child. His Jaffa guards disrobed her and held her legs apart while Apophis showed his passion. Kris started to stir. "Oh Chris." She moaned.

This distracted Apophis. It gave Kris a chance to become more alert. She fought. "Get off of me!" She yelled. The guards continued to hold her down.

When it was all finished, Apophis then, using a ribbon device, put Kris back to sleep.

"Kel'Tar, you are now her official guardian. You are not to leave her side." Apophis commanded.

"Yes, My God." Kel'Tar bowed his head in compliance.

**Four months later back at the SCG**

"Incoming Traveler" The announcement said. General Hammond looked down in the gate room to see Chris already there to greet whoever it was. After 4 months they all expected to give him the first report. It was the usual question. 'Any word of Kris? And sighs of her?' Hammond knew that this did effect everyone and not in a good way. He knew that he had to tell Chris to back off.

"It is SC5, Sir." Simmons said.

"Open the Iris." Hammond ordered. He then waited for the team to come through the gate. After the Gate disengaged Hammond announced, "Welcome back SG5, Debriefing tomorrow morning at 1000. Dismissed." Then Hammond turned and looked at Chris. "Chris O'Neill, my office now!" Hammond ordered in a tense tone.

Chris looked up and headed out. When SG5 walked through the gate, they already said that there was nothing before Chris could ask. Chris made the hike up to Hammond's office. "Sir?" Chris said.

"Sit down, Chris. I am sorry but this is a long time coming. You cannot sit in the gate room and harass the teams coming in. It is not healthy. You are decreasing their moral. I have had numerous complaints filed about it. Son, when you and your wife came through that gate, I felt for both of you. I think of you as part of my family. That is why it pains me to say that you no longer have clearance to the embarkation room, unless you are accompanied by myself or you are about to go out on a mission with your team. You are also to leave the SG teams alone. If something is found out, we will tell you. We are not going to let information about Kris come and not tell you." Hammond looked Chris in the eyes, "You need to straighten up. When we do get Kris back, she should not see you like this. And I will pull you from active duty. I am worried about you."

Chris said nothing.

"Have anything to say?" Hammond said after a long silence.

"No, Sir." Chris said.

"Then you are dismissed." Hammond almost suggested 48 hours of downtime away from base, but he knew he could not get Chris to go.

Chris stood and saluted Hammond and then exited the room.

The other members of SG1 had to start having some sort of a real life again, "So what are you going to do, Love, during Sara's baby shower?" Sam asked.

"I think I am going to try to get my brother out. I know it may not be healthy but maybe try and convince him to buy something for Kris." Jack then reached for some chips. Sam smacked his hand. "Sam?" Jack pleaded.

"Let's find another way to occupy your time shall we?" Sam then pulled Jack all the way to the bedroom and pushed him on the bed. Sam then climbed on top and pinned Jack to the mattress and kissed him. "Tell me Colonel O'Neill, do you really want to go and eat my chips right this moment?" Sam whispered in is hear.

Making a nod to the negative, Jack opened himself to his punishment for even trying to take the chips to begin with.

(Apophis' Temple)

Kris stood at the balcony overlooking the night sky. She placed her hand on her slightly enlarged belly. "Hey my precious, Daddy will find us and save us." Unbeknownst to her Apophis had entered the room.

"My soon to be Queen, no one will save you. WE will raise our child together and when the time comes, He will take his rightful place as Apophis." Apophis came and started to massage Kris' shoulders.

Kris wished she could push him over the balcony right now. She barely had enough strength to walk from the bed to the balcony. Apophis had keep her well sedated throughout the duration of her stay. "I am not your Queen and I will never be your Queen. This is not even your child."

Apophis then took hold of Kris's neck and then activated his ribbon device, "You are tired. Time for bed." Kris soon passed out and Apophis carried her to bed. After she was settled, he turned to her keeper Kel'Tar. "I am to be away for the next 4 days, I trust you will protect her and make sure she stays safe.

"Yes, My lord."

Two days passed before Kel'Tar could implement him plan. He knew now that his friend Teal'c was right and he was ready to join Teal'c in his fight against Apophis. He only hoped that the rescue of this Tau'ri would prove his loyalty to their cause.

This was not going to be easy. Kris was so sedated that Kel'Tar had to hold her up. He hoped making her walk would get the effects of the hand device out of her system. After careful maneuvering, the two finally made it to the Stargate. Just when he was figuring out where he was to go, someone called out to him, "Jaffa, Kree!"

"Stay Back, she will not go back to Apophis!" The Jaffa continued with the dialing.

"Then perhaps she could to with the Tok'ra." The Tok'ra then holstered her zat gun.

"So you are the Tok'ra operative?" Kel'Tar asked.

"Yes, come we must leave this planet." Kel'Tar decided to trust the person.

They gated to 3 planets before then sent the signal to the Tok'ra. Kris had once again fallen asleep. And they laid her by the DHD. Two hours later, the gate activated and Jacob Carter came through.

"What is it? What is wrong?" Then Jacob noticed the Jaffa. He drew his weapon.

"Don't shoot, Kel'Tar is on our side. We need your help. I believe that a member of the Tau'ri is missing someone." She then pointed to the ground by the DHD.

"Kris" Jacob said then went to her side. When Chris and Kris first arrived to this reality, they quickly bonded. He thought of these members of SG-1 as his family too. It was like he gained another daughter. "What is wrong with her?" Jacob then put his hand on her petruding belly.

"Apophis, has been keeping her sedated with a ribbon device. She awakes but barely has any strength. She does speak of Chris and going home to the child when she is awake." Kel'Tar said.

"Let's get her back to base." Jacob said.

"I wish to join you. I wish to fight Apophis." Kel'Tar said.

Jacob turned to the other Tok'ra. Then he turned back to Kel'Tar, "Alright you can come with us, but you are going to be under heavy guard." Jacob then lifted Kris. Kris opened her eyes.

"Jacob, I am so tired." Kris said.

"I know, Baby. I am going to take you home and call Chris." Jacob placed a fatherly kiss on Kris head.

"Please I can't go on." Kris said.

"Now, Kris, you have to. You are almost home." Then Jacob and the others stepped through the gate and headed to the Tok'ra base.

(Tok'ra Tunnel)

Jacob took Kris to his little corner of the Tunnel and laid her down. He exited the area to have Anise, Tobin, and Kel'Tar there waiting. "I should have a look at her." Anise said.

"No, she needs the SCG. I think she would be happier if Chris were here and if Dr. Fraiser perform the exam, Anise. However, I need someone to go and get SG1 and bring them here. I will stay here with her." Jacob said.

Anise agreed and she left immediately on her way.

(Back at the SGC)

SG1 was in the gate room gearing up for their next mission. "Hey Chris, how are you holding up?" Daniel asked.

"Daniel, is this what it was like for you?" Chris asked.

"What are you talking about?" Daniel asked.

"With Sha're." Chris said with a little uplift with his head.

"Ah, yeah, she is out there Chris." Daniel said.

"I know, I have a feeling that this next mission will bring her back to us." Chris said.

"If not, at least a step closer." Daniel said.

During the conversation the Chevrons had been spinning. "Chevron 4 locked." Sgt. Davis called out. Then the Klaxons went off. "Incoming Traveler." He yelled. SG1 went into defense mode. "Receiving Tok'ra IDC."

Hammond ordered for the Iris to open. Through Anise stepped through the gate. "Ah what is it this time. Perhaps a drink?" Jack said. He immediately became irritated when Anise showed up.

Hammond called from the control room; "Soldiers stand down." Then he came to the gate room to greet Anise. "Welcome, Anise, what brings you here?"

"Doctor Kristina O'Neill." Anise said simply.

"What?" All of SG1 said in unison, but it was Chris that walked up and grabbed her arms, "Where is she?"

"She is safe at our base. She is in no condition to travel through the Stargate. Jacob asked that I come to retrieve SG1 and Dr. Fraiser." Anise said a bit annoyed.

"Fine, SG1 you mission is scrubbed, briefing immediately upstairs. Dr. Jackson, get Dr. Fraiser and tell her to come to the meeting. Let's move out People." Hammond said.

Moments later, everyone was seated in the briefing room. "Anise, tell us what you know." Hammond said.

"From what I had gathered, A Jaffa named Kel'Tar freed her from her confines and meet up with the Tok'ra spy. They gated and met up with Jacob Carter. Jacob Carter would not let me near her. He said she should be around her friends when she awakens." Anise said.

That really caught Chris' attention, but it was Jack who asked, "Awakens?"

"Apparently Apophis was using a hand device to keep her in a state of sedation. It should pass soon." Anise said.

"Look SG1, you are to leave as soon as Dr. Fraiser is ready." Hammond said.

"I already have medics preparing a stretcher and medical supplies. I wish I knew more about her condition though." Janet said.

"Sorry, Doctor, that is all I have."

"Right, Dismissed." Hammond said.

Sam took Janet to the lock room to get her some BDU's. "What do you think Janet?" Sam asked.

"Well, I am not too sure, but the dynamics are going to change again. Maybe Chris will be more tolerable." Janet said in a hopeful tone.

"Yeah" Sam agreed.

Back in the gate room, the men were waiting for the women, "Well Chris, you were right." Daniel said.

"Right about what?" Jack being himself asked.

"He said that this next mission would reunite him with Kris." Daniel responded.

"See now I missed out on the whole twin thing. I don't have that psychic thing going for me." Jack said. Suddenly Sam and Janet walked into the room.

Anise inputted the coordinates, to the Tok'ra and SG1, carrying various medical supplies was off.

Jacob Carter greeted them as soon as they transported down to the tunnel. "Hey Dad" Sam said and gave him a hug.

They walked until they were just outside of the room that Kris was sleeping in, "Before you go in there are a few things that I should tell you…" Jacob was then cut off by Chris.

"I don't care, I want to see her now." Chris said and walked into the room. He noticed Kris' sleeping for in the bed. He went to her and knelt down beside her. With her being on her side, he could not see what was obvious, under the blanket. He stoked her cheek lightly with his hand then leaned forward and gave her a kiss.

Outside SG1 watch as Jacob explained some more. "Apophis keep her sedated to keep her from escaping, but let her have enough energy so the child would not be endangered. When we got her, it is obvious that she is pregnant. By the look of things maybe 4 to 5 months."

"That corresponds to the time when she was taken. That means that the baby could be either Chris' or…" Janet stopped.

Jack finished it, "Apophis"

Kris started stirring a bit. She slightly opened her eyes to see Chris, "Am I dreaming or dead?" She asked in a weak whisper.

"Neither, It is real and I am here to take you home, My Love." Chris said as he stopped stoking her cheek and kissed her.

Kris suddenly had a feeling of guilt overwhelm her. How could she let that snake touch her? She knew that she should have fought harder. She left like she betrayed Chris. She started crying. "I am sorry. I am so sorry, please forgive me."

"Shh, My Love, there is nothing to forgive. You are here with me and that is most important." Chris said. Then he kissed her once again.

"I love you." Kris said weakly.

"I love you too." Chris replied.

Chris got up so he could join her in the bed and hold her. Kris had turned already asleep. It was then that Chris realized that Kris was pregnant. He looked up in almost horror to see the rest of SG1 looking through the door.

SG1 and the Tok'ra were seated in the council chamber room just down the hall where Kris slept. They wanted answers, but they were also eager for Dr. Fraiser to come back with the results from the Exam.

"Anyone want to tell me what is going on?" Chris asked.

"Chris O'Neill, Colonel Jack O'Neill, Major Samantha O'Neill, Dr. Daniel Jackson, and Teal'c this is…" Jacob started to introduction.

"Kel'Tar." Teal'c said with a smile. He got up and greeted the guy.

"How do you know him, Teal'c?" Sam asked.

"I trained with Kel'Tar under Bra'tac." Teal'c said. "What is this about?" He then questioned.

"I am the one that liberated the Tau'ri woman from Apophis. He turned and faced the group. She is very weak, but just in the manner that she needs sleep. She kept calling for a Chris. When it was realized that she was with child, the moments that she had the strength, she would get up and walk to the window. She would talk to the child and tell it that Chris, its Daddy will come for them."

"Chris I hate to get personal here, but is there a chance that you and Kris could have conceived this child before she was take?" Daniel asked.

"The night before the mission we… Well you see… Yes," Chris finally got out. "She is carrying Apophis' child. Before we came to this universe, Kris and I were trying for kids. We never seemed to conceive."

"Could be poor timing," Jack added.

"Right, Lets just get her home, and then a paternity test could be run. Ok, Chris." Sam said.

"Yeah, sure whatever." Chris suddenly became more distant then what he was before Kris was found.

The lull in the conversation ended when Janet entered. "Everything seems great except for the extreme exhaustion. I cannot give a good approximation as to how far along she is until I get her home."

"What about doing a paternity test?" Daniel asked.

"No problem, as soon as we get back." Janet turned to Chris. "She is awake now and wants to see you."

"I need some air," Chris said. Then he got up and left the room.

Jack seemed pissed by this action. He also went after him to punch him out when Sam grabbed his arm, "Lets go see her as a team. SG1 back together." Sam knew what we going through Jack's mind. She headed it off at the pass.

Kris laid somewhat awake when the group came in, "Hey, Kiddo, missed you." Jack said. He had taken up calling Kris, Kiddo, because of the obvious name problems that occur within the team.

"I been better, I am really tired. I am sorry. Where is Chris? Please I need to talk to Chris." Kris said.

"He went out for some air," Daniel said.

"Oh." Kris turned to face away from everyone. She did not want them to see how hurt she was. She failed when she tried. They were gracious enough not to say anything though.

"Let's let Kris sleep." Janet suggested. SG1 filed out of the room.

Jack promptly on his heals to the surface. Sam caught him before Jack could get too far away. "Jack, where are you going?" Sam asked.

"Someone has to go kick that man's ass and knock some sense into him." Jack replied. Now they were brothers and acted like it every step of the way.

"Jack, if Chris wants to be a shit, then that is his problem. Besides, I think he needs a lesson in being guilty as hell. Trust me. Come on, Let's get FRED ready for Kris and get her home. Besides, there is a little something in it for you if you become on assistant in this project." Sam flashed him a playfully seductive smile.

"Oh well since you put it that way…" Jack said then pulled Sam into his arms, "How can I argue with your logic?" Though the question was rhetorical.

Sam and Jack mad their way to the surface to make arrangements. There was not really much to be done, but it was a good excuse to be alone. As soon as he could, Jack grabbed Sam and kissed her passionately. When they finally pulled away they both longed for the journey home. Instead they decided to have a heart to heart.

"Sam, you do know that if that was you in there, I would be with you no matter what. I would not care if the kid was his or what." Jack confessed.

"No you wouldn't." Sam said.

"What?" Jack asked.

"Ok, I give you that if it were to happen now after this has happened then you would be there, but if I was me instead if Kris, then you would be having a difficult time. You would be in pain as much as I would be." Sam said, "You forget I know you."

Jack conceded the point. Fact of the matter was, if it was Sam, Jack would be acting the same. "Well right now she is hurting more than he is. I am grateful that it was not you, Sam. As selfish as it may sound."

"I love you for that too." Sam said.

"Oh how I love you." Jack replied. Then he changed the subject; "Looks like we are all set up for Kiddo here." He said turning to FRED.

"Jack, I want to discuss one more matter with you while we are still alone." Sam said in what seemed to be a serious tone.

Concerned Jack turned to face her, "What is it, Love?"

"I want to have a baby." Sam said. She was solemn not knowing how he would take it.

"You do?" Jack asked with a smile curving his face.

"Yeah, I think it is time. I want a baby with you Jack." Sam said.

"Well then what do you say to getting started when we get home? Or maybe now?" Jack asked as he pulled Sam to him and started kissing her neck.

"On now is as good a time as any." Sam said as she started to get into his moves.

"What's going on?" Chris said as he walked up to the scene.

"Shouldn't you be with you wife?" Jack loudly suggested.

"Yeah well I am not." Chris said.

"Don't you even care how much this is hurting her? She just went through hell only to come home and be rejected by YOU! You are a bastard. She does not deserve you." Jack said.

Chris the punched Jack in the stomach, "Stay out of our lives." Chris then ran out.

Sam then went over to Jack, "Let's see the damage." Sam said pulling at Jack's shirt.

"It is ok. No damage was done except for a nasty bruise. We will have Teal'c go after him and tell him we leave here in an hour with or without him." Jack said as he decided to finally give up on his brother.

Together with arms wrapped around each other, Sam and Jack went back into the Tunnels to inform everyone that they were leaving within the hour.

Kris found herself with a bit more energy to move. She became insistent that she herself could at least walk to FRED. After saying her thanks and good-byes to Kel'tar (who decided to stay with the Tok'ra) she made her way with the help of Daniel and Janet to the rings and then to FRED.

By the time they reached the gate. Kris was already asleep but had a tight hold on Daniel's hand. Even subconsciously, she wanted to make sure that she was going home. Chris and Teal'c had been at the gate, and with the first signs they already dialed up the gate and sent the IDC. Chris stepped through as the group got through the gate. He was already out of the gate room before the rest of the team arrived.

"Welcome back SG-1" Hammond said as he watched everyone come through the gate.

"Good to be home," Kris said as she awakened again and noticed that she was indeed home. Then she promptly fell back asleep.

"SG1, we will debrief in an hour." Hammond said.

A few hours later, SG-1 was put on stand-down. Hammond was a bit steamed when Chris did not show up for the meeting, but then quickly understood that he was with his wife in the infirmary (well anyway rate, that is what he assumed).

Two weeks later, Kris seemed to be back to her old self. Janet released her under direct orders to go home for another two weeks and take it easy. Kris instead went to her lab. In her mind, she had no home to go to. Chris had not been to see her the entire time she was in the infirmary, therefore she assumed that she was not going to be welcomed back at the house that she and Chris shared with Sam and Jack.

"Hello, Cheyenne Inn." Said the elderly woman's voice on the other side of the receiver.

"Yes I was wondering if you have any rooms available. I need one for two weeks." Kris said.

Unbeknownst to Kris, Jack had been listening as he came to see why she had not left the mountain.

"Yes, Hon, I believe that we can accommodate you. You have a credit card to hold the room with?" The woman asked.

"Sure, just let me get my purse, it won't be a few minutes," Kris said.

Jack was standing there holding out her purse, "Looking for this?"

"Yeah, thanks." Kris said.

"What are you doing?" Jack asked.

"I am getting a room so I have a place to go." Kris said.

"Look, Kiddo, you have a place to go. If I remember correctly you share a house along with my wife, your husband and me." Jack stated clearly.

"Yeah well I did not want to intrude especially since…" Kris stopped what she was saying. It hurt.

"Look, if Chris wants to act the way he does then so be it. He is not welcome in my house. You are. Sam and I will not let you go out alone. And WE are not going to turn our backs on you." Jack walked over to the phone, "I am sorry, but I will be taking care of my sister. I am so sorry for your trouble."

"That is ok, sweetie, not to eavesdrop, but I heard everything. That is the right thing." The lady then hung up the phone.

"Now listen, Chris would not care anyway, he has not been back to the house for weeks." Jack said, "And if he does come back, he's the one who'll be checking into a motel." Jack smiled and pulled Kris into a hug. "Lets get Sam and get you home where you should be."

Things seemed to be progressing with both the pregnancy and Kris' health. She became more positive about things when Sara had her son. Kris got to spend some time with him. Her spirits seemed to be returning to her but it was evident that something was missing. The first day back the SGC, it all came to clear.

SG1 sat in the briefing room along with Dr. Fraiser.

"I feel great, there is no reason for me not to return to active duty." Kris said.

"I am concerned for the your safety as well as the baby's. Apophis is looking for you and the child." Hammond said.

"There is also the fact of the Stargate. We are not sure how gate travel would effect the child." Janet added.

"So far gate travel has not adversely effected anyone, and General, if I was on a field team going to another place on this planet, would I be stopped from going because I am pregnant?" Kris tried to rationalize.

"You are not going." Chris finally spoke up. Kris looked at him with eyes that bore through his head.

"With all due respect, sir, it is not your decision." Kris said spitefully to Chris. "General, please, I need to get back out there. And Dr., this will give you a chance to see how gate travel does effect pregnancy." Kris rationalized.

Hammond looked over at Jack who nodded his approval, then to Sam who did the same. The he followed with Daniel, Teal'c and finally Chris who did not acknowledged anything at all. "Well, Major, I guess you have a go with the rest of SG1. Do not overdue it. You leave at 0800 hours dismissed."

The five military (Well two of them are ex-military but are just in the habit of military protocol) in the room stood as Hammond left the area. Kris then smiled and hugged almost everyone in the room. When she came face to face with Chris, he just turned and walked away.

"Welcome back Kris." Teal'c said.

"Thanks Teal'c" Kris said.

"Hey let's celebrate, What are you craving today?" Jack asked Kris.

"Umm, well, I kinda want a beer, but I know that is out, how about Mexican food. The place with the great Fajitas." Kris said.

"But Kris we don't want you to cook." Sam laughed.

"OK, OK then how about Red Lobster, It just reopened." Kris said.

"Great, Janet are you coming?" Daniel asked.

"Wouldn't miss it." Janet said and then they were all off.

Late that night, Kris could not sleep. She could not get the picture of Chris' face out of her head. She decided to get up and go to her desk. She needed to talk to him but since he was not willing to listen, then she decided to write it down.

Choosing her words carefully, Kris knew what she had to do.

When she completed the letter, she sprayed it with a perfume that meant something to both of them. It was a custom scent that Chris had made for her when they first came to this reality. Afterwards she sealed it in a plastic ziplock bag to keep the scent in and not to expose it.

The mission went as normal, and things could not be going more perfect. Nighttime arrived, and Kris opened the flap to Chris' tent. She flung the bag containing the letter plus some extras at him then walked back to where Sam and Jack were.

"Are you OK" Sam asked.

"Yeah, I am just going to a walk to the ravine." Kris said.

"How about I come with you," Sam suggested.

"No, I want to be alone a bit. Besides isn't there a baby you two are supposed to be creating or something. I will be fine. I am well armed." Kris then showed off her zat gun.

"Ok, as long as you have your radio." Jack said.

"Got it right here, DAD." See you two later.

Chris had heard the conversation between the three and decided to read the letter. You can say curiosity got the better of him.

My Love, My Soul Mate,

I know that you no longer think of me that way and it hurts. I hurt because I know you are hurting because you feel I betrayed you. Perhaps I have. The last thing I want to be is an albatross around your neck. I guess this is my way of saying good-bye forever. You see I made a decision. I am leaving forever. I cannot and will not continue hurting you the way I do. It will be easy for you to get on with your life, if you have not already. Technically we are not even married in this universe. In this bag, you will find the two material things that mean you to me, my rings. Do with them what you wish. I do not deserve them. Know this, you will always be in my heart, and soul. You will have no worries about my child, our child. He or she…well words escape me. Be sure to thank Sam and Jack for their generosity towards me.

Love you always,

Kris

Chris had tears in his eyes. He folded the letter and held it to his nose, taking in the scent. He then realized the conversation he just heard between. He got out of his tent and saw Sam and Jack sitting close together by the fire.

"Which way did Kris go?" Chris asked. His heart was racing.

"Why do you care?" Jack asked.

"Because I love her, and I have been an ass, now please Jack, I have to make things right where is she?" Chris begged.

"That way," Sam pointed.

Chris slowed as he approached the ravine. She could see Kris standing close to the edge and did not want to frighten her. He listened to what she said.

Kris had her hand on her belly as of talking to the baby. "I am sorry, baby. I wanted so much for Daddy to…" Kris broke off crying. "I failed you." Kris sniffed, "That is why I have to do what I have to do. I love you baby." Kris looked up at the sky, "I am going to miss this doing this." A breeze overcame Kris and her hair flapped back. She closed her eyes.

Chris had been stealthily sneaking up behind Kris and he put his arm around her just above the belly. He pulled her back and they both landed on the ground.

"What the hell are you doing?" Kris yelled.

"Stopping you from jumping." Chris said.

"What makes…?" Kris asked.

"I love you and I am sorry for being an ass toward you. Oh god Kris, I could not let you kill yourself." Chris said.

"Chris," Kris started.

"Kris forgive me. I love you. I love our child. No matter who is the father biologically, This child is ours. Please Kris, Love, I know I have no right to ask this, but forgive me and let me back into your life. Be my wife. In this reality and any other that we may travel in." Chris looked cute when he begged.

"Yes," Kris replied with a kiss. Then she deepened the kiss. "I love you." Tears streamed Kris's face.

Things seemed to be getting back to somewhat normal. All of SG1 were taking trips though the gate for the following months until it was decided that Kris needed to stop. It also came to pass that Sam had to stop as well. Right after the mission where Kris and Chris made up, Sam announced that she was pregnant. After the last pregnancy, Sam and Jack decided that they did not want to take any chances.

The SGC decided to hold a huge baby shower for both Kris and Sam. Things could not be going more festive then what they already are. There were blue and pink punches. Little baby BDU's hung about the place along will all baby size SGC paraphernalia. The party however ended up ending early when Kris' water broke and she went into labor.

It got more dramatic from there, At that point, in what looked to be a transport from the Asgard, all of SG-1 was transported to Thor's transport.

The group was shocked to see Apophis there at Thor's side. Chris took hold of Kris. Teal'c moved to a protective position between them and Apophis.

"I want my child." Apophis said.

"Apophis has agreed not to attack your planet if he can get his child." Thor said.

"But you have no child among us." Chris said.

"I believe Kris is carrying his child." Thor pointed out.

"There is a chance that the child is not Apophis'. Chris could be the father. Do you really want us to turn over the child if it is not his?" Daniel said.

"No, I must think." Thor said.

Kris screamed out as another contraction hit her. Chris held onto her until it had passed. Apophis made a move to Kris but Teal'c cut him off.

"Here you can birth here," Thor said as he pointed to a small cot in the corner.

Chris laid her down while Thor checked Kris out. "I am sorry but this is the only way. As soon as the child is born, I will check on who the father is. If the Child belongs to Apophis, then he will take the child and go. If the child belongs to Chris, then you may have your child back." Thor then ran an instrument over Kris' eyes. "So you do not see the child. If it is not returned to you… It is better this way."

Kris started screaming, "NO!" And tears ran down her eyes. She pulled Chris down so that he was practically on top of her. "Please don't let them take the baby way from us."

"Sh, I won't, Love. We have nothing to fear though. This is our baby." Chris reassured.

"Alright, I need you to push the child out." Thor said.

Kris shook her head no. Chris leaned down and kissed her, "You have to." Chris sighed, "The quicker we have the baby, the quicker we can enjoy him, or her." Kris then pushed. She pushed harder and harder each time. She hated not seeing, but Thor was now in control.

Kris cried tears of joy when the child was born. She did not know if it was a boy or girl. No one did. The tears of joy turned to sorrow when she could tell that Thor was taking the child out.

Before he left the room, Thor turned, "I need both fathers to complete the analysis." Sam, Jack and Daniel took Chris' place at Kris' side. Teal'c decided to accompany Thor in order to protect the child.

With supplies that Thor provided, Sam tried to clean Kris up after she delivered the placenta. Jack and Daniel were on either side of her, just looking at her face. Sam ended up making an abrupt departure and Jack followed. "Morning sickness?"

"Yeah," Sam replied.

"I will go finish up with Kris." Sam looked at Jack when he offered. "Ok, I will have Danny do it."

"Actually she is done. I am more worried about her mental state. What if she does not get the child back." Sam said.

"She will, have to be positive."

Thor exited the room and looked over at Sam and Jack. "You should be with Kris now. Apophis is gone." Sam took in a deep breath and then watched as Thor returned Kris' eyesight. All eyes then turned to Chris and Teal'c who entered through the door.

They followed Chris as he walked over to his wife and knelt beside her. He then placed a bundle into her arms. "Baby girl, this is your mother. And I am your father. Welcome to the universe."

SG1 was all smiles as they welcomed to the family Quinna Ann O'Neill.
