“Oh…I’ve been waiting for this all day,”

Sam whispered, as she slowly descended into the hot tub. After the day she’d had, all she wanted was to escape, and nothing helped her do this more than a nice long, hot, steaming bath. She couldn’t believe that she could get so emensely sore from walking. Well, they did do a lot more than walking. There was climbing that rock face, trekking through those enormous weeds, and...well, it didn’t really matter anymore.

The Colonel had kindly suggested that she could use his tub to take a bath. Her bathroom plumbing had decided to take a leave of absence, so to speak.

Sam was pulled from her thoughts by a soft tapping at the door.

“Carter, how are you doing in there?” Jack inquired.

“Fine, Sir.”

“Can I get you anything?”

//Does joining me count?//

“No, Sir, I’m just fine. Thanks for asking though,” Sam said, with a smirk planted firmly on her face.

“Well, if you need anything, just give me a holler, okay?”

“Yes, Sir. Thank you again, Sir.”

“Carter?”

“Yes, Sir?”

“Stop calling me Sir when you’re in my bathtub.”

“What do I call you then?”

“How ‘bout Jack.”

“I can only call you that when I’m in your tub?”

“Ah, very funny Major! You can call me Jack when we’re not on duty. Or, when you’re in my house, or in my tub...Carter, just call me Jack for right now, okay?”

//This is fun. I love making him flustered.//

“Okay, S..Jack,” Sam answered quietly, as she slid further into the relaxing water.

“Okay then...uh...I’ll see you down stairs when you’re done.”

“Sir //shit// Jack, you can call me Sam when you’re in MY bathtub, okay?”

She swore that she could see that smirk of his on his face right now.

“Yeah, huh, I’ll do that.”

She heard him walk away as she gradually slid under the water. Coming up slowly, she dipped her head back to let the water soak her hair. Taking a deep breath, she settled back against the tub.

“Mmmmm...yes, this is niiice,” Sam sighed. “Life can’t get any better than this.”

//Sure it can, HE could be in here with you.//

“Huh huh, you’re bad Sam,” Sam teased herself.

As classical music played softly in the background, Sam began to leisurely wash herself. She slowly ran the bar of soap across her chest to her arms, enjoying the sensation of her own hands. She was massaging as much as cleansing. She grabbed a washrag to enlist in the effort, but found the feeling of her hands more appealing.

“Yeees, that feels much better,” Sam purred.

She never realized how sensual taking a bath was. Or, was it that she was just in that state of mind. It was hard not to think like that with her being naked in his tub.

“Who am I kidding, I think like that ALL the time,” she admonished herself with a smile.

She stretched out her right leg, and delicately ran the bar up and down. She took great pleasure in her slow and meticulous pace. She then moved on to her left leg, giving it equal and measured attention. A low moan escaped her lips before she dropped the bar of soap. Hunting for it, she found that it had fallen in between her legs. Grasping the bar, she slowly ran it up her torso.

“Ooooo...okay, now I’m really getting horney!”

As she grinned to herself, she let her body slide under the water. Reemerging, she took a long, deep breath, and leaned back against the tub.

“Well...I’ve seemed to have lost interest in washing myself,” Sam chuckled, tossing the soap back in the water.

Realizing her body was suddenly somewhat tense, she pulled her arms above her head to stretch thoroughly. With a frustrated sigh, she leaned back against the tub once more.

“God, I wouldn’t mind a massage about right now,” she murmured.

“And I know just the man to give it to me.”

Sighing, she closed her eyes and decided to try and relax. That was easier said than done, as she found her mind drifting to places it shouldn’t go.

She could imagine what those strong hands of Jack’s would feel like kneading her tight, sore shoulders. Releasing a prolonged groan, Sam shifted anxiously in the tub.

Or how he would slowly run his hands down and up her back, ending at the nape of her neck. And while there, he would lean down to place a delicate kiss upon it. “Ooohhh...Jack...mmmm,” Sam moaned deeply, squirming under the water.

While Sam was fantasizing about what Jack would be doing, he was actually standing outside the door knocking lightly. When he didn’t receive any sort of reply, he hesitantly opened the door. He cleared his throat hoping that would get her attention. When she still didn’t respond, he slowly peeked his head around the corner.

Jack was struck dumb at the sight before him. It wasn’t just that Sam was naked in front of him, it was the erotic nature of her statement. Whatever she was thinking about, it had to be reeeal good. As much as he tried not to stare at her, he couldn’t help himself, as he slowly came into the room. She was so beautiful, so sexy, so naked.

All of a sudden, sensing someone there, Sam quickly opened her eyes and gasped. She was just as dumbstruck as Jack had been. Not even attempting to cover herself, she simply stared at Jack staring at her. When her senses finally began to return, she attempted to speak. Her lips were moving, she was sure, but nothing would come out.

Jack held up a finger to his lips to silence her response. Dropping the towels that he had brought, he slowly made his way over to her, and knelt down beside the tub. Leaning over, his face a mere inch from hers, he gently whispered into her ear.

“No explanations, my sweet Sam. I heard you say my name,” his lips softly brushing her ear as he spoke. “Oh...do I know...do I ever know.”

Jack tentatively placed a feather light kiss upon her ear. Moving slightly to face her, he reached out his hand to turn her face towards him.

Their eyes locking, he slowly leaned in to softly kiss her lips. Closing her eyes from the sudden sensations overcoming her, she opened them again to see the same hunger for her that she felt for him.

//Oh my God...is this really happening...pleeease don’t wake up.//

Leaning in once more, Jack licked a trail gently around her lips with his tongue. Taking her bottom lip into his mouth, he suckled gently on it.

//aaaaahhhhh//

Finally taking the initiative, Sam reciprocated in kind. With her lips slightly apart, she brushed along his, darting her tongue in and out. Hearing Jack gasp, she grinned, and drove her tongue deeply into his mouth. Reacting immediately, Jack devoured it, consuming it thoroughly. Wanting to taste him for herself, she withdrew her tongue in hopes that he would supply her with his own. Thrusting his tongue in fully, she greedily savored the feel, texture and flavor of him.

Soon they were sharing in each other’s flavors as their tongues mingled in a sensual feast. Breaking apart a moment only for air, they continued in their slow, fastidious assault of each other’s senses. Feeling the overwhelming need to touch and caress her, Jack reluctantly withdrew from Sam’s lips.

//What...oh, pleeease don’t stop...Jack?//

“Sam...before I completely loose what threads of control I have left, why don’t we continue with this...discussion in the living room.”

//Here we go. He’s sorry about this already.//

Seeing the many emotions that played upon her face, he saw the doubt and regret that he knew she believed were his.

“Sam, baby, don’t even think for one minute that I don’t want you, that I’m rejecting you, because believe me, I really, reeeally want you. I just don’t want this to happen like it is, with us getting carried away with the moment and you regretting what I’m sooo wanting to do right now...this minute, this second...did I say at this very precise instant!”

//I am not letting it stay in the room any longer.//

“S..Jack, I--”

“I think it would be a really good idea if we finished this conversation in the other room! I can’t seem to concentrate for some unknown reason,” Jack exclaimed, as he reluctantly stood up. “Let me just get out of here now so you can get dressed,” he declared, while turning his face from Sam’s direction.

Suddenly regaining the modesty that had eluded her only moments ago, she quickly covered herself with her hands and arms.

“I think that would be a really good idea Jack,” Sam mumbled, as a definite blush arose upon her face.

“Yeah...okay, I’ll uh...I’ll just leave now,” Jack vowed, as he made his way to the door. Stumbling over the towels that he had previously dropped, Sam couldn’t stifle the giggle that escaped her lips.

“Hey! What did I tell you about giggling!”

“Sorry, it won’t happen again...honey.”

“Oooh, honey is it! Things are definitely getting better by the minute. I’ll be in the living room waiting for you...DEAR,” Jack retorted, while gradually shutting the door.

Sam could hear him whistling as he made his way down the hallway.

A huge grin spread across her face as she slowly sunk into the water.

//Thank you God!//

Taking a deep breath, she ran her hands through her hair.

//Finally!//

Realizing that she was still laying there, she quickly sat up. Even though she had waited years for this moment, she still felt afraid of the consequences of tonight. What about her career? What about his career?

Sighing to herself, she decided that thinking was way overrated. Standing up slowly, she looked around for a towel to dry off with. Spotting the towels that he had dropped and tripped over, she smiled to herself as she carefully climbed out of the tub. Drying off and dressing as quickly as she could, she made her way over to the mirror. Trying to make sure that she looked somewhat presentable, she ran her fingers attentively through her hair. Realizing that this was as good as it was going to get, she sighed and dropped her hands onto the sink.

She stared at herself for a second in the mirror. She knew that this was the moment of her life. The moment that would change everything; for better or for worse.

“Hey up there!” Jack hollered, “Did you fall in or something!”

“Well Jack, you’ve got me, for better or worse. Oh, let’s not go down that road just yet Sam,” she admonished herself, as she smiled and made her way over to the door.

Grasping the knob she suddenly stopped, contemplating that idea. With an enormous grin emblazoned on her face, she slowly opened the door to leave.

“We’ll see...we’ll see,” she whispered to herself, as she left the room and her doubts behind to go to her first and last true love.
