Jack watched Sam sleeping with her head resting against the window. For a moment, the motion of the train had threatened to make her head fall against Jonas’s shoulder. Sadly enough, not even Jack’s glare had prevented the Kelownan from falling asleep on Sam’s.

Teal’c sat meditating in a booth on the other side, so Jack could stare openly at his 2IC. She looked beautiful asleep, peaceful.

Suddenly, Sam opened her eyes, a sleepy smile playing on her lips. She reached out her hand and although he shouldn’t, Jack took it and squeezed.
