He kept his eyes tightly shut as he buried his face in her neck. Their rhythm was fierce, as he tried to forget her scent. Her nails were digging into his back, a pain that only increased his senses.

She gasped and he moved onto his elbows. Her hand moved from his back, cupping his cheek. A touch so unfamiliar, so intimate, that he opened his eyes.

Their eyes met for the first time since they'd been pretending to forget.

Their rhythm faltered, and he forgot what he was supposed to do as lowered his head, and claimed her lips.
