A fic in which sam and jack are only friends to begin with. earth (or whatever) is in danger of the destruction of humankind (asteroids, goa'uld or something more terrible)and they're picking only all the top ppl - scientists and the like - SG are all included except jack. from there, they figure out that for jack to live, he has to marry one of the ppl picked (heheee) so that happens, yet they're only still friends - and amidst the adventures and fight for survival following (hint hint nudge nudge), their friendship grows into everything us ppl support * g * if you've seen Deep Impact, you'll know where i got this from :)

Summary: 2002 Fish Tank Challenge.
Okay, I watched Shadow Play at SC2K2 (with an SJer, woo!), so I didn't get too much of the ep, but I saw the fish tank in what looks like Jonas' office. Anyway, I had a vision of Sam and Jack sneaking in there, locking the door and going fishing in his fish tank, perhaps after (or while) doing some blue Jello shots. Could someone please write this? Jack clones and cookies to anyone who does.

Summary: 2002 Loki Challenge.
Sam gets her own team, Scientific reasearch oriented. Certain members of her new team have contacts to the NID and/or Kinsey. As a ploy to keep her in contact with SG1 she is assigned by general hamond to "pretend" to have a relationship with Colnel O'Neill. Her entire relationship may be a ruse to figure out what is going on with NID or Kinsey interference in the SGC. possibly certain items of interest have gone missing on digs. You are the geniuses you figure out a plausible plot. Sam and Jack Must Get TOGETHER. They don/t have to get it on, but that is up to the author. CAn be set during Any season but Season 6 would make it more of a challange I havn't seen people writing Much for Corin Nemec.
It would be very neat if it couuld be a multipart Fic with many contributing authors.. I've only seen one other challange ever run that way and it was very interesting.
* Must include at least one dramatic life threatening situation.
* One Major catalist for some serious hanky panky.
* A good amount of verbal teasing between our favorite charachters
* And of course, A suspenseful moment when they are involved in eachother and must avoid either discovery or capture as a result.
& Avoid the Tok'ra or Aasgard coming to the rescue.
* and just for kicks, Throw in Loki, Norse God of Mischeif, as a Goa'ould.

Summary: 2002 Sam's Superior Challenge.
Make some reason that Jack retires, but when he decides to come back, Sam is now his superior officer. I know, this prob couldn't happen because of how long it would take for her to outrank him, but wouldn't it be fun to see Jack having to take orders from Sam? He does respect her, that goes without question, but I do think he'd have a wee bit of the prob taking orders from her if for no other reason than he's used to being the one giving orders.

At the end of Meridian, when Jack and Teal'c run into Sam and Hammond in the hallway...Do you think Jack was going to seek Sam out to ask her if she wanted to go for food with him and Teal'c? I had the feeling that they just happened to bump into her and asked her then - and it's a feeling I don't like. Concerning this question: I'd love to read a fic based on this moment. Maybe have it that Sam 'did' feel that she wasn't going to be asked. And/or, at the restaurant she finally says to Jack what she's wanted to say concerning Daniel's 'death'.

Summary: 2002 Long Black Veil Challenge.
A song called Long Black Veil - Johnny Cash - A man is accused of a murder; witnesses 'saw' someone who looked just like him kill someone. The man is innocent; he was with a woman at the time, and by with I mean 'with'. The problem is that she's his best friend's wife, and (rather than break his friend's heart and ruin their marriage, I suppose) he allows himself to be executed for the murder he didn't commit. Adapt the song to SJ fic? (Execution not a requirement, of course)
