"Carter?"
Sam turned her head and smiled at the figure standing in the doorway.
"Sir..."
He ambled in and sat on the edge of the bed next to hers. "How you doin'?"
"I'm ok..." she glanced down at herself and smiled slightly. "No big deal."
Jack nodded and coughed lightly. "The Jaffa and Tok'ra are leaving the Beta site."
"Dad mentioned something along those lines." She shifted and winced.
"You want me to get the Doc?"
Sam shook her head and closed her eyes briefly before looking back at him. "So what now?"
"We move forward.just like always."
"Just like always." She mimicked him.
He stood slowly and slipped his hands in his pockets. "Need anything?"
She shook her head again and Jack nodded before turning to walk away.
"Sir? Thank you."
He turned back and offered a small smile. "Anytime Carter."
