His hand is warm against my bare shoulder. I need to touch him. Even through his sleeve I can feel it -- he's so *warm* ... and I'm so *glad* ... I was so afraid of being here, in this time, alone...

He motions for me to be quiet.

But God... He's alive... I want to say his name. Not sir, or colonel. In my mind it is always...

*Jack*

But... "I though you were dead," I say instead.

He stares back at me as I clutch his upper-arm. And I realise he understands. He thought I was dead too.

When I saw her lying there, the relief was incredible.

I shook her awake. And deep down, a secret selfish part of me was positively giddy at what I saw in her eyes - in her memory. That same heartfelt relief.

Of course, I had to go and ruin the moment.

"Think you can walk?" I asked her.

But her reply was lost to me, because... *Oh God* she's naked...

No! Don't look!

I looked. I think I almost drooled on her.

Oh *damnit* she saw me staring. Quick, say something!

"Trade clothes with that guy..."

Smooth Jack. Real smooth.
