I felt those were questions that needed asking and as Sam's best friend and a good friend of Jack, Janet seemed like the perfect person to ask them. The second scene was a nice contrast with Janet's concern about Sam making this decision for the right reasons, in my mind, as it showed how comfortable and easily Sam and Jack went from 2IC/CO to lovers and being able to actually talk to each other without all that tension...

I'm pleased to hear it. There were some things I wasn't entirely satisfied with but I couldn't pinpoint the problem to rectify it, so I kept it as it was; fortunately everyone so far seems to have enjoyed it. Sam's head is still spinning from everything (remember, the last 4 chapters all take place on the same day) but I do believe Jack is finally getting through to her in some degree.
I certainly have something special planned for the next chapter...

I hope to have more soon too, but unfortunately this chapter was difficult for me to write (with the sensitive subject) so I've lagged behind on schedule.
